I' dubious right now as a) it reads like a wishlist for me and b) were'nt those repacks cancelled?

But if it's true, amazing!

Pro Tech Models is a British seller. They got this from their Spanish distributor. Dunno why would that be fake

I guess it makes sense to get all the movie ships out the way first, but I'm still kind of surprised to see the V-Wing in there so soon.

I felt for sure we'd get Republic's first large base or at least a dedicated support ship before we got the V-Wing.

I'm just not sure what the Republic is going to do with yet another nimble, low HP small base ship.

Eta-2 is a no brainer, obviously. Presumably it's going to be the Republic's elite fighter on par with the E-Wing, Defender and Star Viper. Though it does rub me the wrong way a bit that such a tiny little ship could possibly compete with those platforms. Any more than 3 HP on it is going to feel a bit much, which I guess will make it more of a Force powered Interceptor.

"Jango Fett's Slave One" rather than just a pack with a Firespray repaint and new pilot cards suggests, much like "Lando's Millennium Falcon" that it's going cross faction and will be a Separatist ship with a different dial and stats.

Personally I feel like that's the wrong way to do it. Jango worked for the Separatists about as much as Boba worked for the Empire, so it feels a little unfair that Seps get Jango while Boba is Scum only. But I suppose Seps as a faction need all the padding they can get. And Jango's Slave One isn't that much different a ship.

Also feels like a waste of all the other Clone Wars era pilots they could have put in there that only make sense as Scum - Hondo Ohnaka, Aurra Sing etc.

Really interesting that the TIE/rb has a lower product number than the LAAT/i, Xi and HMP. Suggests pretty strongly that it was developed before those ships (which makes sense, given that Solo was two years ago now). I wonder why they held it back. Maybe it was always meant to be part of that wave and just never got announced? Very curious. Either way, I'm not particularly excited by it. Probably a cannon carrying Scyk/TIE/sf hybrid in terms of mechanics and stats.

Re-releases of Saw's and the Reaper will probably get me to finally pick them up, though there's really not a lot of content in Saw's that actually appeals to me.

Considering it includes stuff already cancelled this has to be an old list and may bear little or no resemblance to future plans considering we know the schedule got changed at the start of the year.

Because maybe the Spanish distributor got duped or has old info? Didn't they say aces packs were next and the Raider especially was cancelled?

Distributors world wide seem to work slowly and miss like half of the stuff anybody tells them. Could be indeed an old list before the cancellations and pandemic and they were like "Oh look what we have found!" ๐Ÿ˜„

The theme fits though, FFG is going hard for Clone Wars in all of their SW games: Legion, Armada and now X-Wing. GAR and CIS need a couple of more ships anyway to get parity with the old factions (FO would also love that treatment).

If true we should see an announcement article for the other bits soonish.

I would be excited for everything previously unannounced - especially the V and Eta2. Iโ€™m wondering what the continental is.

Thanks I love it.

The other piece to this though, since they have product numbers, is that these were likely at least all planned. The items that were cancelled can be released later once current stock depletes and that material is all out in the wild through other means.

This may not match release schedule, but we did hear during a conference last year that a recognizable ship was coming to Imperials this year and the TIE/rb fits the bill. The other choices are natural ones. We'll see if Jango's Slave 1 is Separatist but I imagine it will be, and will bring the first medium base to the faction. Eta-2 a bit earlier than expected so if this is list is accurate, I'll be super curious to see how they differentiate it.

Anyway, excited for future releases whether they match this or not. Normally we'd be getting the reveals soon but they may delay the reveal due to the product release delays we are already seeing.

They had their Q4 2019 releases cancelled, I don't believe it was ever suggested they were cancelled forever.

The reason given, I'm pretty sure, was that there was still too much stock of the old/1e versions out.

It especially wouldn't make sense for the Raider to be cancelled forever, they need to release the counterpart to the Corvette at some point.

Even if the re-releases remain cancelled, and this information is indeed 'out of date', it's likely showing the intended release schedule, which means that whenever we get Wave 8 - whether end of this year or some time next year - this is what it will look like.

It's still interesting information.

In my experience, these sort of leaks (lists from distributors) are accurate more often than they're not.

I think a lot of people are curious about that.

One thought I had was that it could be a translation or autocorrect error, and maybe thereโ€™s a possibility that it could be a Consular Class Cruiser as a first huge ship expansion for The Republic... but thatโ€™s probably just wishful thinking! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Boba in continuity worked for whoever paid the highest and has been shown in some comics to have been hired by the Rebels as well.

Edit: Retraction, was mistaken in the last comment. Boba never worked from the Rebels.

Jango however, stood on the stage of a Geonosian arena and attacked the Jedi, a group synonymous with the republic. That's a very bold move for someone if he's not picking sides. I doubt if he'd survive and his contract expired the Jedi would accept an apology and a "we good, right?"

From a game term, Scum don't need another Firespray pilot. However the Sepies are lacking in a Medium based ship and ships with organic pilots in general.

Bull****.

Find me one comic where Boba was hired by the Rebels. It didn't happen in Legends or canon.

Boba Fett, however, stood in Imperial occupied Cloud City and attacked Luke Skywalker, a Jedi in training, a group synonymous with the Old Republic and the Alliance to Restore It.

I could go on.

He attacked the Jedi because he was a mercenary being paid by Dooku. No different from Boba.

This is the same guy who provided the template for the Republic's army. Unless you're arguing he was one of the highest Separatist leaders with a knowledge of the plan only on par with Dooku and Sidious (not even Grievous knew that Sidious/Dooku was responsible for the clone army as well), then Jango was clearly just some guy who went wherever the money was. And it's going to take some serious evidence to convince me that Jango was in on the master plan.

I will grant you that the plot of AotC is a total mess, and Jango's involvement in both sides with no one being anywhere near as suspicious as they should be is sheer nonsense. So I guess it's hard to pin him down.

False equivalence. Him opposing to the Republic and not being in their good graces does not make him a Separatist. It makes him an unaligned antagonist like Hondo or Bossk. Y'know, basically the whole point of the Scum faction.

57 minutes ago, Ebak said:

Your opinion.

I disagree. The Firespray is basically just Boba and Koshka, and very occasionally Emon. The rest don't get played. It doesn't need a new pilot the same way the TIE Interceptor does, but there's no upper limit to how many pilots a ship can have and the Firespray could always benefit from more viable options. If Jango is good but less broken than Boba, then he'd be a good option to rotate into Hyperspace while rotating Boba out, keeping the ship in play but reducing Boba's dominance.

As a counterpoint, adding another version of a ship with minor tweaks to statline and dial to another faction offers very little to the game regardless of the missing niches in the faction. That's my opinion. Having different versions of the same thing with only brackets or possessives to distinguish them is cluttered. Lando's Millennium Falcon and Rey's Millennium Falcon are bad enough.

This is true, but that doesn't necessarily require the Firespray fill that niche.

They could get the Maxillipede shuttle in there as a dedicated support ship, another niche they haven't quite filled yet.

You could make the same claim about Imperials, too. They have a support ship medium base (TIE Reaper), and an ordnance focused medium base (TIE Punisher), but not a dedicated combat medium base with multiple arcs. The Rebels have all three of those (U-Wing, K-Wing, ARC-170 respectively). You could argue that the Firespray would perfectly fit that gap in the Imperial faction. And you could justify it in lore given all the time Boba spent working for them, that Krassiss Trellix was an Imperial etc.

But no one wants an Imperial Firespray because it doesn't suit their identity and because it dilutes the factions. Same reason I think the Firespray as a Separatist ship is a bad idea.

But being Dooku's bodyguard puts him on the Separatist payroll. So he's not unaligned, he is in the employ of the Seps.

Boba was an employee of Jabba the Hutt, which makes both parties Scum.

That is at least enough of a difference to allow Jango to be Sep.

Matter of opinion. Personally, I would think that having a few non-droid options from time to time will be good for the faction.

Wow...did I murder a member of your family? That was quite a response.

I was mistaken regarding the Rebel side of things.

That being said, I still maintain my opinion that sepies would benefit more from a new chassis than Scum would benefit from one pilot. I'm not saying Scum can't get a new pilot, but I THINK that giving a faction an entire new ship opens up options more dramatically for that faction. They don't even necessarily need to change the stats. The Y-Wing remains the same between factions. The only difference is the Falcon.

They did indeed ditch the Imperial Firespray in Second Edition. There is a reasonable argument for having it in the Empire...but then the Empire faction already has a significant number of ships as of the time of Second Edition.

Imperial: 14 ships

Scum: 19 ships

Seperatists: 4 ships

4 Ships. Correct me if I am wrong, but 4 is significantly lower than 14 and even 19.

So tell me again why Scum need a 3rd (arguably 4th) viable Firespray pilot considering most ships generally have 2 named pilots and currently the total Firespray pilots in the seperatist faction equals....oh look at that, 0. Oh but of course...Separatists don't need a Firespray. They're a well rounded faction with their....4 ships.

That last statement was very unfair, of course your not saying Sepies can't get new ships. Just the ones you deem most fitting. Ooooh...A shuttle....how exhilarating. It's not like one of the iconic pieces of artwork they used to promote Clone Wars coming to X-Wing features a scene involving an iconic dogfight between a Republic Delta 7 and a Firespray piloted by someone under the employ of the separatists.

You know you really pushed my buttons on this one.

I'm thinking Jango is Scum.

Maybe they do would something like the Ezra+Maul or the Vader+BT1/000 setup. Maybe a specific character (Dooku) or maybe some other required upgrade to allow the entry. But allowing a ship cross-faction (even if a single pilot) is a lot different than allowing a crew or gunner upgrade, so ultimately, probably not.

I think it'll be Scum but I think it's just about as likely to be Separatist.

If Maul went to the Seppies, so will Jango. There are no need for him to be Scum, when Boba is already there.

Didn't consider Maul. That is a fair assessment.

Saw it on discord -> WT = Working Title? Continental may be a codename for a (at that time) still unnamed ship in lore. Anybody have a guess? ๐Ÿ˜‰

I will point out the only evidence I base Jango being Separatist on is there are two Republic Expansions and one Separatist expansion. Seems weird to me to provide one faction two expansion and then only provide sepies with one full expansion and one partial (assuming if Jango is scum there would be some crossover mechanic) expansion. Makes more sense to have 2 Republic and 2 Separatist.

Razorcrest? Assuming the image is real, which is a lot these days.
