The fastest i ever got a warning from a new forum, was two weeks.. I have a habit of resurrecting as many old threads as i feel like, because of having new points of view or something to say on them.

One site i did that on, i got a nasty gram just over 2 weeks into it, warning me "DON'T resurrect ANY MORE, or i get a 1 mo suspension...

Two in one day here which they didn't even let me know which posts did it, just 'abusive behaviour' what ever that means on the internet. Mods were already getting lazy and now they are gone.

I had the same thing in another forum! No explanation or citing, just hey you got reported get out for a day. The two I have on this one I can go back and look at.. One of them I still don't know how I got suspended for. The other one is a stretch but sure whatever.

I have had that happen too... When i was stationed in the UK, i was part of a forums, for one local newspaper in London (The Metro). Got a nastygram from the mods for "saying something offensive and against forum rules", but NO CLARIFICIATION About what rule i broke, or what was offensive, NOR from which post (of the 50 i had made the prior day), that was from.

I HATE that. If yo wish someone to change their posting style TELL THEN WHAT WAS wrong, not just "you had a boboo, correct it"...
