Chimera Logo Removal

By SithLrd88, in Star Wars: Armada Painting and Modification

Hi all,

I know absolutely nothing about painting miniatures, so apologies if this question seems silly...

If I got a hold of a Chimera expansion set and wanted to remove the white "Chimera" stencil without losing any of the rest of the paintjob on the Star Destroyer, is that possible?

Not easily.

Because even if you did, the grey colour underneath wouldn't match the grey colour of the rest of the ship, because it wouldn't have the Wash and Tinting and all, assuming it even had its own paint remaining.

You could try arranging a straight swap with someone who has the base model but wants the look of the Chimaera... There's no harm in asking, anyway.

Yeah, you'd need a full repaint to match the stripped spots to the rest, likely.
