Legendary discovery and couple newbie questions

By Dogmeat2, in Battlestar Galactica

Hey all. Relative newcomer to the game, played a couple times, and just had our first human victory.... I think!!

It was a four player game, and Helo revealed himself to be a cylon quite early on, so the humans were able pretty much unite early on and work together quite well, even the sympathiser was not too effective as morale was in the red so I (the trustworthy Baltar of all people) was sent to the brig. Took a few turns to escape, but mimimal damage.

Couple questions though... to make sure we played it correctly.

1) We had reached distance 8, all resources were in the red, and the sole cylon could smell victory. We just needed 1 more jump to reach kobol. And we pulled the legendary discovery crisis card. We took the skill check, and passed. After much deliberation, we decided this 'one in a million' crisis card, was enough to give us the kick to complete the game. Game over. Humanity survives. Was this correct?

2) Quick question about order. One time, we were utterly swamped in raiders and civvie ships dying all around us. I XO'd Starback to repair the FTL drive and use it. She rolled lower than a 6, so we lost -1 population but we jumped. But what place does the jump take place in? Do we first resolve her crisis card, then the cylon step, then jump? Or do we jump, then pull a crisis card, then activate cylons (if applicable in the new area)

Cheers

no it wasn't correct to end the game. This only takes you to 9 but you have to jump once more anyway. There's been previous posts on this.

also you have to resolve the jump immediately (clear board, reset jump track, choose destination card) then finish the rest of the turn which means you would then draw a crisis card.

Awesome thanks. I will make sure we do those correctly in future playthroughs. Thanks for the tips
