Where's the Zuckuss/4-LOM Love??

By SithLrd88, in Star Wars: Armada

So during this quarantine, I've been playing a bunch of Armada with different fleets, and really started diving into using squadrons more (something I only ever used sparingly).

My question: Why do we have all the major bounty hunters (big six from ESB) and their ships but no Zuckuss and 4-LOM??? There were always such cool looking characters. Though I don't know much about their ship, its easy to see a generic G-1A starfighter, Misthunter Title, and two unique pilot Titles (one for Zuckuss/one for 4-LOM).

I know I'll probably never get them unless a second rogues/villains pack comes out, but I would choose them over some of the other uniques so fast.

Lets spam some love for our favorite Gand and EX-Protocol Droid pair!

(I also wouldn't mind some of the Slave II/III/IV variants from old Legends, but I digress...)

They are just really obscure even though they were in the OT.

More obscure than Corran Horn and Tycho Chelchu?

I'm just thinking that if FFG drew characters/ships from the old EU, they would have been just as well (or not well) known as others. I still don't really know who some of the TIE fighter pilots are in the game.

Clarity

I read the old EU book that had a story about each of the bounty hunters.

They were one of the stories that sick with me the most.

Tales of the Bounty Hunters, maybe? I know that book was sick. The whole book opened with all the IG-88 droids becoming sentient, and murdering the scientists that built them. I clearly remember a droid hand being shoved through a scientist's chest.

But yes, I remember the Zuckus/4-LOM story too of them helping Rebels after the Battle of Hoth.

You do need to know when they were pulled, too.

Tycho, for example, was pulled back when they were pulling from EU Lore without any shadows of doubts, because the Disney Takeover and Canonicity Change hadn't happened.

There's really 2 main exceptions to it in the Squadron side of things, and you had one - Corran Horn. You also have Maarek Steele in the TIE Defender.

However, they were both pre authorised for use in X-Wing, and filled gaps that there were not Yet to be filled in Canonicity.

WIth perfect 2020 Hindsight, its easy to say that the current Maarek Steele could easily be Vult Skerris. But at the time, Rebels hadn't finished and Zahn hadn't written his 2nd Book... So, again. 20/20 Hindsight.

As of now - there is an extreme reluctance in FFG to pull from EU sources if there is a viable alternative to be pulled in Canonicity...

IF there' snot, then great.

If there is, then canonicity is easier to sell as part of the license agreement, I guess.

They could be another Hondo type character, given that they ended up working for both sides at some point.

Hope I don't derail the thread, but while we're on this subject, why does Hondo fly the Slave 1 ?

Because in canon, he owned it for a period of time and you see so in the clone wars.

Its “boba Fett” paint job, as a contrast to its Jango blue, is actually its Hondo paint job with the Ohnaka gang symbol covered up.

Learn me a thing: how does Boba get it?

Asset Retrieval: Mandalorian Style. Ooof, poor Hondo... he probably had it coming, though.

It’s not explicitly stated, but I can speculate.

Ysee, kid Boba at this point is running with Aurra Sing, primarily. She’s the mother he never had, effectively.

Shes also Hondo’s on-again-off-again Lover, as established in canon too. After Hondo uses it to escape from General Grevious’ attack, its not too far of a jump to see how it can go from Hondo to Aurra to Boba.
