Except Kraken specifies one icon and no other, so you can't change it to a double hit.

It took me this many days to realize Kenobi still allows you to use the redirect effect as well as get the -1 damage. I’ve been thinking he was an “instead of” effect

Given that ships in Clone Wars were seen consistently blowing each other to smithereens with ease unless somebody with plot armor was in the ship, I’m assuming Clone Wars default will be more like brace/redirect/redirect/salvo.
