Morrigan Water (first deck)

By jimboboklashaur, in UFS Deck Building

I've been playing for a couple months, had a few mediocre decks, but pulled a God pack of Realm of Darkness recently, got Morrigan, and fell in love. Although I'm missing a few of these cards, this is what I want the deck to look like. Help is much appreciated.

Two cards I wish I had in this deck are (obviously) Olcadan's Mentoring and Chester's Backing, Chester's more than Olcadan's, but either way. With Christmas almost here I'll probably get the money to shell out the 80 bucks for a playset of Chester's. The deck is pretty straight-forward, Morrigan reversal with a tad of control. I'm sure it can be improved though, so suggestions?

Rejection and The Gorgeous Team would help you out a bit you can get 2 of each in Mai's Cutting Edge starter Deck so pick up two. Shooting Capoera is a pretty nice water card as it can ready anything that has not been readied this turn. Hybrid Style is great for Rejection as you can keep pulling it back and then ready it with SC. As far as attacks Shadow Blade is pretty nice but it's a 2 check so beware of that, also Lumber Axe is good as well and both of those are reversals.

That's the only thing I've noticed is wrong with my deck is that sometimes the checks just bone me hard. Right now I don't have any Darkness Blades so I've been running Stardust Drop instead, which is nice with the 3CC, but Darkness is 100 times better in my book. Also I'm afraid Darkness will clog up my deck even more. A lot of the new Street Fighter cards have been wonderful in this deck, specifically Chun-Li cards. Anymore suggestions? This deck still needs much help I think.

Stardust Drop is pretty good as a reversal with Hybrid Style since it's a throw it's going to do damage and I do like it over Darkness Blade simply because of the numbers. I would also drop the numer of attacks you have you just don't need all of those if you're going to be recurring reversals so often.

I much prefer Program Malfuction over Chinese boxing again for the numbers and also that the foundation you get with Program can't ready for any reason while Program is committed. Shinobi Tradition would also help you out a bit with the checks and toss in The Bigger They Are... or Aquakinesis for more card draw which is pretty important for reversals since you need cards to block with.

You typically don't want to go over 6 "bad" checks those being 1s and 2s because checking either of those on your first turn can really ruin you game.
