Vassal Events - centralized Google Calendar

The number of events on Vassal has been ramping up and it's becoming hard to follow the signup and event dates.

I'm pushing for a new feature in upcoming x-wing vassal module 8.8.9 where players will have access to a Google Calendar from the module, where events are listed (signup dates, event dates, url to relevant info, etc). This calendar will be populated from a curated list of organizers to whom I'll send a special Google Forms so it can be painless and automatically fed.

can you do one for TTS?

Is there a central Discord group for X-Wing Vassal? Perhaps with pinned setup instructions? I’m getting close to giving up on getting TTS to work with my crappy laptop & considering seeing if Vassal is less painful.

There are big ones. But I'm not sure there's a centralized one. Fly Better Podcast has one that has ballooned for their 400+ player Jank Tank open and there's an xvt tournament (from @MegaSilver ) going on with its 6th iteration that has its own discord.

Yes, someone PMed me over a vassal message and said the same. I made the calendar view public in the very last spot I forgot to check and he confirmed it works on his end.

Yeah, I have the most consistent online events. That may be the closest to what you're looking for. You can look for pickup matches on my server as well even if you're not in a tourney.
