So I just had this big brain moment for a super janky list that is a load of fun.

All the A-wings have Intimidation, daredevil, and mag pulse warheads for maximum annoyance

Horton is loaded with a kit designed to keep him alive and shooting at people as many times as possible. The basic strategy here is to ram the A-wings into the enemy as quickly as possible. Horton then comes up and beats the everloving daylights our of them, especially if there is more than one A wing in range.

Move played a couple games with this after my alphabet squadron games and I was not disappointed. Had to proxy the talents but my Dad didn’t care. His Tie fighters got absolutely whipped. Kept it 197 points to get the bid on most other lists.

It looks like a formidable strategy, though I could see you having a tough time against aces.

I’d be interested in Dutch over Horton to hand out a TL to those A-Wings who are potentially sacrificing their actions to block, or giving a lock to Jake so he’s free to do a Daredevil boost and still have a way to fire off his missile and help another ship with a mod.

If you can get your opponent to joust with you, you’ll probably do well. But if they dip in and out and spread themselves out nicely, it’ll be hard for you to kill them off.

Yeah, I was lucky my dad tried to swarm rush Horton, I ended up just one shotting each and every tie. I’m definitely not sure on the rockets, I could strip them all which would leave me 24 points, not quite enough to squeeze a Phoenix pilot in there. I might give Dutch a whirl as I do love him. I just wanted to see if I could get Horton to work as I had never heard of grey squadron before and thought I’d give their leader a shot. Does anyone have any other lists with him?
