I hope this gets released. These are my favorite ships. I want them.
Even if they have to come with a stinking turret.

someone brought up the worst that could happen is FFg shuts down or somehow gets a corporate change that drops xwing. That would make me very sad.

It's unlikely. Even if FFG gets hit hard by all this, X-Wing is still their most profitable venture.

so question for the group: is it fair to ask them to release the points for these ships this month even though the ships themselves won't be out for a long time? This would enable us to play with them online.

I will not be playing tabletop X-Wing for the foreseeable future anyway, it's all online, but FFG doesn't make any money off of online play.

I think keeping hype up for the game through this dumpster fire is probably a good thing for the game, but it's also a lot to ask of them. idk. What are all y'all's thoughts on that?

I think letting the points out too soon would make the ships stale by the time they release.

Agreed - I know when everything was known too soon in legion it was “solved” by the hardcore online gamers before it hit the shelves. I like the mystery, even if it means right now we are on a stalemate of points of known.

Yup, except for some of the huge ships (and table top simulator isn’t really set up for those). In fairness, my “play everything” run was primarily done before huge ship 2.0 kits were out.

But, I also don’t NEED new content to be happy. I’d just settle for getting to play a face to face game again.

I mean....could I get some more turrets please? We only have 2 turrets -.- we don’t need tlt back but I liked autoblaster turret.

I mean, personally I'm not bored with my choices but I also kinda want the Xi Shuttle. it was my favorite ship before I knew it was coming to this game just for its design.

I’m definitely bummed about the Xi. It’s a slice of design space that FO could really use. But, it’s probably not a big deal until Corona Madness passes.
