How to effectively use the Scum Falcon?

Heightened Perception is a cool trick, but I found it leaves her too force depleted and suffering natural dice too often. You just can't afford to do that on a regular basis, with a massive 80-90pt target.

I use it only as needed, but the build can have problems with maintaining force power.

My problem with replacing Ketsu is that it makes the Shadowcaster Card useless against anything that isn't a small base.

Unintentional double post.

Firing on reduced agility after Assaj hits obviously gets much more use out of it as well. But for just 1pt , it's still really good against small ships, even if just for upsetting their options. Medium/large base opposition normally means a lot less guns, which is a slightly easier match up overall. It's not generally necessary to throw the big ones around.

Including Unkar Plutt is my solution to that though, he could replace the Escape Craft.... πŸ˜„

With Assaj, for me, it's really about force and stress. The title can have great use, and is so cheap its never not worth having, but Ketsu brings the real tractor.

Just tried a Han Salad. Relatively fat Han with a fat-ish Torani, Bossk(Z95), and Sunny versus Rey/Poe. Rey/Poe *ate* the list - variance was a HUGE factor weighing down the Scum, as opposed to a great deal of reliability on the Resistance side. So I think maybe a lighter Han - just title and Trick Shot? More a sort of tanky nuisance than anything else. Let the threat come from somewhere, anywhere else. So, I guess, it's the same as any Scum list right now: if you want to be competitive, start with Boba, Fenn, or Guri; then add something silly. And the Scum YT is silly.

I played against this and loved it. It’s surprising how much damage Lando can push.

I'm still messing around with this. In limited fashion ofc, but had quite a lot of useful pushing around the home table. Would quite like this moved to Squad Lists for future reference, if/when there are mods....

Tried Lando and the 2 bots, A and C. Instantly loved it but actually then got thoroughly trounced by the boys Seps. Pretty much the hardest match up I can give it here, tbh. Guns felt a bit thin but the action management had really cool possibilities that I didn't quite handle. Positioning well and getting the tokens where you need is fair art.

But lockdown spirals me into jank, so I've been mostly looking at Han and Assaj. Nonsense like this:-

Flying Saucers

(54) Han Solo [Customized YT-1300 Light Freighter]
(12) Maul
(4) Boba Fett
(1) Greedo

(2) Contraband Cybernetics

(6) Shield Upgrade
(1) Shadow Caster

(12) Autopilot Drone [Escape Craft]

Kinda moving well away from the 'effectively' in the thread title, but wth. At a certain point, what things cost just stops mattering.

Was trying Lando plus PerCo on Han, for easy double mods, but was finding the focus dependence far too awkward. Equally, Lando in the nose, the stress felt quite limiting. Also sort of wanted Lando mostly undocked, to make more use of him. Which seemed to leave the Falcon weak for the points. Very different balance.

A lot of the problem here is just running 2 big ships and attempting to drop cargo in the right place for the punchline. They need to be pretty mobile. It's a somewhat unnecessary puzzle.

So having a pop at doubling down on easy passive mods and full info deployment, for maximum unwholesomeness. Plus Greedo is fun.

Finding it difficult to keep Assaj pointed forward, it seems to work better if she's mostly strafing. She needs not to be too caught, but half her points can be fine to carry away. Having a good deal of trouble making the most of nimble bow-tie coverage as well. Far simpler if there is something Assaj can joust.

Had the kid throw Boba, Teroch and Talonbane at it this evening. Worked pretty well and can keep quite a lot of points on the table. It won handily, despite being basically hounded into a corner and beaten bloody. Doesn't really mean anything ofc, but still. Bit of tag team and a couple big Han hits seems to be what it looks for.

I like the Autopilot coord/dock shuffle. Extra nonsense. Didn't accidentally blow it up in my own face this time.

I've also wanted to push this about, but the boy doesn't fancy it at all. Can't say I blame him. Highly unlikely it's effective, but it's all so terribly wrong and bad.

When made my post, I was under the mistaken impression that the agility debuff did not apply unless the ship was considered tractored.
