Cost of the VTG

Just ran into a strange situation. YASB 2.0 is showing a cost of 8 points for VTG whereas FFG is showing 10 points. Anyone else notice this?

Ya might be on a older variation of YASB. Just checked and it still comes up 10 for me.

How can that be? Aren't you directed to the latest version when you log in? The only change made was having to reset my password. Numbnuts here accidentally erased it.

You are right! Went in and re-tagged the site and I'm getting the correct point cost. Strange.

Somebody within this past week used a link from Vassal and it took him to a older version of YASB. So you definitely aren't the only one who gets this kind of issue.

There's sort of two YASB 2.0:

It just isn't worth anything! Ooh, you can shoot twice, very cool- have fun with that null result. Now it's viable if you have perceptive copilot but how many ships can take a turret, VTG, perceptive, AND make it worth using all of those at once, JUST to get off two reliable shots? For those points you can drag along two ships with the same dice and much easier mods.

My same thought after trying it on res bomber. Yes you can add per cop but after vtg it’s already too expensive.

The problem is that it’s effect is extraordinary good. It’s kind of a multiplicative effect and it’s benched by lack of easy double mods. If something changes it becomes so irritating goodly that you’ll wish we never had the upgrade in the first place.

I fee fee like we should simply restrict vtg to non limited pilots to avoid silly combo wings. Then you get cool generics.

And you can price or watch the faction specific versions like Bistan with a keener eye.

DreadLoks was out this time last year. Drea didn't have VTG. It caused a **** storm an a half...

Good point.

But then again 5Y VTG was a thing before too. So should any of those be possible?
