Fair point, this. Maybe it’ll be part of a redemption list 😉

Anyhow, Seasoned Navigator does look wicked sweet on a Reaper. If you're not Init 1.
...good point.
I was head siming and forgot rule 1 in squad building with an ace: so what's your Initiative? the Rexler deal and forgot the Int 1, good (easy) catch Fig. Honestly, I have only flown Vermeil in the Reaper and Seasoned Navigator was very, very solid.
Soontir and Pred fits, sadly.
Soontir + Pred, Rex + Juke, Vermeil + S. Nav is a clean 200
But the SBP with seasoned navigator out-aces a vulture swarm
Vader SBP impressed me in a game against my boy today, I like the efficient simplicity of it. I1 is very handy for it.
Aggressor wise, I like Kestal a lot, but she needs many things. A) Running cheaply. B) At least 3 other ships. C) A pal who can support her in some way.
That's numerous hoops to jump through. They can be jumped, but you've really got to want to run Kestal to bother.

Yeah, no, I didn’t NEED it to work, just thought it would be fun. Turns out being destroyed isn’t fun. But thanks for the insight 🙂
And yeah, Vader is great with such a maneuverable ship! He can get arc nearly every turn if you play him right.
I am currently 3-0 with the Sabaac/Vader Crew/Rexler list, and I am in love with it.
People never go for Rex. Sabaac is too much of a target, and when he’s punished, they usually turn their attention to Feroph/SBP carrying Vader, and try to make scraps of him. Rexler always makes it to the very end, and as the game goes on, his three hull and four shields look more and more and more intimidating. It’s amazing. Currently the list is Rex with Juke, Feroph with Vader, and Sabaac with Juke.
I even beat a Boba/Fenn/Nom list by luck of the dice 😉
But I had an idea...
This is not the build most people on the thread seem to be leaning towards, but I know DeciWhisper did well at some tournament (sometime in history) and maybe this would work?
DeciRexee {200}
-Rexler Brath (88)
•Juke (7)
-Rear Admiral Chiraneau (112)
•Darth Vader (14)
•Minister Tua (7)
•Moff Jerjerrod (8)
•Seismic Charges (3)
•Dauntless (4)
Edit: Wow... I just looked back to the first page and @JBFancourt said something almost exactly like this... 😳 . I didn’t mean to steal your idea!

Since the start of 2e, I've been telling people Defenders are good. Or at least, not bad.
//
I guess I'm always going to be nervous about a Juke Sabacc (why not just Crack Shot and Shield?), but hey, the core of the list looks nice.
More thoughts on that Juke: 4 red vs 2 green (no Focus):
If Pure Sabacc was higher Init, more likely to shoot first and be free to spend the Evade later, the double-duty of the token gets tempting to me. But he's only Init 4, and Crack/Shield costs the same. I'm sure the difference over the course of games isn't too huge, but this is just my own preference. I tend to think Juke is too expensive for just about everyone who doesn't have self-sufficient access to a free Evade token.

- Evade + Juke = 1.868 damage, http://xwing.gateofstorms.net/2/multi/?d=AgAAAAAAAAAA&a1=QQACAAABAAAA
- Focus = 2.260 damage, ~30% chance to still have a defensive token.
- No Offensive Token = 1.332 damage

Yeah, I would agree, and I think it mainly comes down to player style. I really want my opponents to feel pressured to take green tokens instead of locks, and Juke does that really well when you have two, Feroph, and Vader crew. But I do see your position.

My only fault I find with this is your name of the squad...
I call mine Raxler or Reximator. Which is clearly better than Deci-Rexee 😜 🤣
I also find people leaving my Rexler until last. Especially my Adv Sensor equipped one. Because if they kill box him I fly somewhere else
I've enjoyed pushing Rex, Echo and the Vadelerons about this week, but fancy having a pop with this at some point. Usual candidates normally = pretty good.

Ok guys: I know I sound like a broken record here, but, man, another update in Adv Sen Rexy. I WUV YOU WEXY!
So, opening placement I have been putting my Rex at a 45 degree angle pointing right at the enemy horde with an obstacle pattern betwix. Open with a 5 fwd. No matter which way they take off I go the opposite using Adv Sen boost. It’s so crazy because even if they turn in on me I am normally flanking after another 5 straight. I’m addicted! I’m finally making Rex work. I definitely think that coordinator munchkins are not the answer. About 5-6 games of practice. Lost 1 so far.
😁 😜
I’m actually beginning to ponder massive bid and fat Soontir....

I quite like this, actually. It’s a really good idea. Maybe consider dropping PRockets for Lone Wolf on Soontir and Stealth Device or deeper bid to work with? It seems that if you get someone in your bullseye even like three times a game, you aren’t really getting the full value for both.

The deepest bid I know of is Fenn/Boba at 182.
🤔
Lone Wolf is sadly a unique upgrade so I can only have it on one.
😭
The HLC/Prockets are for swarms and large health pools. Both of which are much easier to proc on.
Against aces and the 3-4 archetype you’re never going to use them. But you shouldn’t need them.

Fair, and thanks for pointing that out!

I could see doing tractor cannon for the occasional defensive/control reasons... or ion idk tho
Shout out for Daredevil Soontir. Maximum options on approach switches. Alt arcs can cover huge swathes and make for many bad places.
Personally, I'd switch hull to TC as well. You want to be sure of hits with 2 ships.
UPDATE:
I entered two tournaments on TTS. The Kyber Cup and X-Wing Cantina Open.
I’m going to fly Rexy.... but which one??
🤔
I’ll keep you all posted on results.
I tried the 2 ship list.... and lost, but I think it’s good. Really good. I lost becuz of boneheaded mistakes. In all honesty too I was coming back and would’ve won but time got me.
I took @Cyptor ’s advice and dropped the HLC for more control. I decided on ion. Tractor is just so nerfed right now...

Anyway, really enjoyed flying it. I never took a damage to Rex, but lost Soontir to dumb mistakes. Gotta get back in practice with him.
EDIT: Also canonically, the Defender’s top gun array is ion cannons 😉

That’s awesome! And I feel you, I am horrifically rusty with Soontir.
Status Update:
Still 3-0 with Rex/Pure/VaderSBP vs. Nom/Fenn/Boba, something with Vader or Soontir, and a forgotten other list.
2-1 with Reximator (thanks @JBFancourt 😉 ) won vs. Luke/Lando and something else and lost to Assaj/Firespray/G4 because idiot me made RAC eat 2 proximity mines and 3 cluster mines. I need to fly against bombs more.

Lost my first game on Kyber 115-146 to RAC/Whisper. 😭
Really good game, but I bungled my opening and made about 3 important mistakes. 🙄 🙄 Also good flying by my opponent.
Also there was definitely a familiarity curve with TTS as this was only my 3rd game. It was streamed so I’ll throw the YouTube link in if interested when it gets posted.
Similar to your Kyber list, I'm hoping my boy will let me test this against him.
No bid for Soontir because I want everything and I don't think there are any I6s Ryad can't joust. Can obviously be Rexed instead, but this is obviously just for fun.

Equally interesting to me is a straight swap of Soontir for a Vader, 0-0-0 SBP.
