Would you like official decals ?

Hello there. These difficult times make me think about the weirdest things.

Looking at the future release of inferno squad with their tiny little squad marks, or even the generic specisl forces, I must admit I will never be able to paint those.

I would gladly like ffg to produce a sheet of water decals like gw used to do.

They will be useful for xwing too -I guess.

What do you think?

Yes please

Yes indeedy-bob.

This would be really great for Mandalorians as well and an Aurebesh script alphabet so we can put personalized slogans on vehicles.

I’d be interested in this as well.

Me too!

I would be interested in this

I never could get very good results from decals, they always wind up being translucent. So I won't buy them. I just do without cool logos on my guys now.

GW stopped selling Farsight Enclaves transfer sheets sans warning right when I finally took the plunge into their plastic crack thanks to Kill Team. Still feel somewhat bitter about this.

And I don't have many Space Marines, but when I found out that GW used to sell Aurora Chapter transfers, I wept.

I've no idea what I'd do if the transfer sheets that come with the Sisters of Battle kits didn't cover all six major orders and thus Argent Shroud, too.

Anyway, yes. I for one only really need faction marks for vehicles, for which printed-out decals should work well enough, I guess, but having official sizes for the tanks etc. would be nice. And I ain't looking forward to painting the handprint on Echo's chest at all...

I think the shoulder pads on this scale makes decals a little difficult to pull off. You'd end up ruining most of your decals or they'd look funny because of the curve.

Fine point Sharpie or other craft pen is your best bet. For vehicles people already print larger symbols you can buy on the internet

Yes, getting decals to work is hard actually. What you put the decal on needs to be fairly bright in color to actually see the decal at all.

It is actually possible to buy decal sheets that can be printed on or go to ebay and find them. You'll be frustrated and disappointed for the most part. Stencils may be a better option for those with an air brush, though those don't work all that well either. Sadly, you got to have a steady hand to pull it off. Some people have that and do amazing work.

Absolutely. I have some from third party suppliers, but they aren't the best.

Decal fix and other such products make all the difference. They soften the decals and make they conform to uneven surfaces.

Would buy!

Let me ask a guy!

They do help to get the decal on for sure, but they don't make the decal pop and be visible. It is entirely possible actual professional printed decals would show up better than the home made kind. At the very least a professional print can add white to the decal. I still think for most people, even we using the right solutions, the decals are so small and so easy to curl up on you they won't be happy with the product.

that and paint masks/template (can't find the correct word) ...my hands and eyes are too untrustworthy to try free hand or otherwise.....maybe it will help offset my horrible painting

I got pretty ok at freehanding knee and shoulder pad squad and company markings on my Blood Angels. The darn chapter markings elude me however...
