Republic: More pilots for the Clones tbh; "Odd Ball" is in like three different ships; just more variety for the Clones. Also... I don't really see how they would add alternative Aethersprite schemes, unless they added the Jedi pilots with alternative abilities; I guess older Ahsoka, Kit Fisto maybe?

I'd like to see more generic clone pilots with abilities. I rather thought that would be a thing with Republic. Feels thematic to me.

I would not expect a B-Wing just yet. It did receive a new pilot and foils in the Hots Shots pack. The x-wing has also received several pilots. The two ships that probably have been out the longest without real upgrades are the A-Wing and E-Wing. A Luke E-wing would be nice and a new Etahn A'baht in addition it could reissue new versions of the R7 droid series that has been overlooked. Luke in an E-Wing is a question mark, with his use of the force tied to the Experimental Sensors, it could be a problem. A-Wings really need love as well as pilots. Tycho needs to return, but with maybe a limited number of charges to spend to offset stress. It seems I also remember that the A-Wing chassis also had some sort of built in jamming device. I also read elsewhere that Ezra Bridger and Kannan Jarrus flew in A-Wings for a while, so some possible pilots there. One X-Wing pilot I mis is Wes Janson, but I thin we will have to wait awhile for him.

While Force points combined with Experimental Scanners would indeed be quite strong, it is not be the reason that E-wing!Luke isn't likely to happen (or, at the very least, isn't going to happen with his current ability).

The real problem with E-wing!Luke would be the insane defensive profile. He'd be a 3-agility, 6-health ship with Force points, a white evade action, and access to both Advanced Sensors and regen droids. Defenders would look like they were made of tissue paper by comparison.

Or, y'know, they could just rewrite the Force mechanic. (Gets defenestrated)

They seem to have implied that they will more than likely just make new abilities for pilots anyway. So if Luke gets an E-wing, which sounds neat to me, then they'll likely give him a new older pilot mechanic.

And bonus, if we get Luke in an E-wing, I get to imagine how a good sequel trilogy might have played out lol 😜

Ah Luke in an E-Wing Vader in a Defender.

Ezra Bridger in an A-Wing would be so good! Like seriously good... Lock > Red Boost with his one Force to flip two Focuses? Evade > Red Boost if you are under fire... Very tanky with the native 3 Agility of an A-Wing.

That actually sounds like a STRONG Rebel A-wing. I like it, and I don't think a strong I3 is something that would upset a meta. The Rebel A-wings so far are useful, but not strong, it'd be nice to have some.

Nice! So we are set in:

[Rebel] Phoenix Squadron Pack:

  • B-Wing (Blade Wing prototype painting) - pilots: Hera + ?
  • A-Wing (Phoenix Squadron painting - there are lots to choose from) - pilots: Ezra + Hera?

[Rebel] Blue Squadron Pack:

  • X-Wing (Blue Squadron painting) - pilots: Antoc Merrick + ? (there are a lot of other pilots from Rogue One)
  • Y-Wing (Blue Squadron painting) - pilots: Paril Ritta + ?

[Empire] Defender Squadron Pack:

  • TIE Defender (T/D "Elite" painting) - pilots: Vult Skerris + Benj Dobbs
  • TIE Interceptor (painting seeing on Rebels) - pilots: ? + Vult Skerris?

She would be amazing! And Ciena Ree. (but both don't fit very well with a themed pack)

Real question, wont these likely be three ship sets? To match the Republic and Separatists? And if so, what do you want your breakdowns to be? 2 and 1? Three different? What sizes too, will it stay all small?

Like I could see the Resistance pack being Black One AND Orange T70, and then... Something?

E-Wing for the B-Wing, already received pilot and wings for the B-Wing

Republic could have a pack of 2 ETA-2 Actis and maybe a Laat? Or an Actis and two Torrents in the Blue Squadron colour scheme? But that would be too similar to the Guardians of the Republic pack. So maybe two Actis and an ARC-170?

Empire will probably have an Inferno Squadron Tie Fighters pack. Although truth be told, I would really like to see a Black Squadron with an alternative Vader ability. Could add "Backstabber", "Dark Curse" for a bit more I5 Tie Fighter pilots for the Empire. Alternatively I would love to see an Inquisitorious Hunter pack? Wit the Fallen Order Sister in an Interceptor and two Tie Fighters with some new I4 pilots?

Rebel Alliance would really benefit from more Forcesensitive pilots. I would love to see a Phoenix Squadron pack, with possibly Ezra and Ahsoka as pilots, maybe one more nonsensitive A-Wing Ace?

I would like to see more new or 1e pilots and limited generics. While putting existing 2e pilots in new ships could add some fun twists, it should be avoided so factions don't get oversaturated with specific pilots (Anakin, Oddball, Zeb, Ezra, Sabine, Dalan). That being said, here comes the hypocrisy!

Rebel

  • Wedge A-wing
  • Shara Bey A-wing
  • Hobbie A-wing with his 1e ability at I3
  • Tycho A-wing with a 2e version of his 1e ability at I5
  • Mart Sato YT-2400
    • Iron Squadron Title for the YT-2400
  • Adon Fox B-wing
  • Rogue Squadron Ace I4 limited generic X-wing

Imperial

  • Ciena Ree TIE Interceptor
  • Vult Skeris TIE Interceptor
  • Second Sister TIE Interceptor
  • Ninth Sister TIE Reaper
  • Backstabber TIE Fighter
  • 181st Vet I4 limited generic TIE Interceptor

Scum

  • Jango Firespray
  • Tweek Starviper with his 1e ability

Resistance

  • Poe YT-1300
  • Lando YT-1300

Republic

  • Kit Fisto Delta-7
  • Wolfpack I3 limited generic ARC

Seconded. Don't forget about Brilliant Evasion and Stealth Device. Below is the math behind 10 focused 3-dice primary attacks against a Luke with Brilliant Evasion + Stealth Device + Evade Token. Odds are in favor of Luke surviving.

Lukes abliity would have to change in an E-wing, probably a new pilot might work better, a force user will have to be well tested before it is used.

I ran the numbers for a realistic amount of attacks. 8 focused 2 die attacks, nets 0 hits 88% of the time. 5 focus/locked 3 die attacks nets 0 hits 97% of the time. The only way to reliably hit Luke would be Homing Missiles, Bombs, or Discords. I'll jump on the bandwagon of Luke would need a new ability.

Maybe a T70 would be better suited for luke, without a pilot slot ability he might be hitable

I'd be very hesitant about it even with a new ability, to be honest. Even if he were to have an ability with no combat use, we're still creating an Inquisitor with native 3-attack, more than double the hit points thanks to R2-D2, and better action economy thanks to Experimental Scanners. And, let's not forget, access to the full suite of powerful Rebel support ships and upgrades. We've seen how much trouble Kylo can get up to in a faction where he has next to no actual support pieces; imagine if he had AP-5 with Leia trailing him.

A Force-powered E-wing just sounds like something the game could really do without.

Having rewatched episode 9 for the first time (saw once in theaters), I have to say my wishlist for resistance is bonkers...

orange t70 (known)

green rz2

the new B wing and Y wing, especially the Y.

Poe and Lando 1300 pilots (Likely), new Poe t70 pilot as the general of the resistance not a trigger happy flyboy - maybe more supporty pilot ability instead of the selfish action economy

Resistance conversions for the VCX (no ship ability and maybe a lower primary perhaps to make it unique?), uwing, etc. single t65 pilot Rey.

FO still have a bunch of ships too, but they’re mostly net new so I don’t know if we’d get them as an ace pack.

Regarding the other “Luke in an E wing” topic: did we ever have a time in old legends where he did this?!

Would like to see more A-Wing pilots. Could also be cool to see either Rebel LAAT or ARC trooper LAAT

Oh, no doubt. Like Vader in a Defender, these things shouldn't happen. I hope that Kylo remains the only 3 red 3 green ship with force, and we are fortunate that he doesn't have an evade.

I think Vader in a Defender would be cool, just a different pilot ability.

If by "cool", you actually mean, "completely game breaking", then sure.

That is an i6 ship with 7 hit points, 3 agility, Full Throttle, 3 Force points, access to Supernatural Reflexes, and it even has a system slot for your choice of Collision Detector or Fire-Control System.

I don't care what his pilot ability is; that cannot, ever, be a thing.

It could be a thing, and really fun at that, in Epic. Only if it is costed appropriately, though, and I doubt that FFG would make a ship that’s not gigantic solely for Epic.
