Same for me regarding the ARCs. I'm curious about Echo and Fives abilities and the mechanics for attaching them to squads.

We pretty much know exactly how that works given how Del's card works. It's the exact same thing. "ARC Trooper or Republic {triangle} trooper unit only."

I like the fact that T21 can be attached to any special forces unit. Not just Inferno.

T21 strike teams! Lololol!

T21 Imperial guards!

T21 deathtroopers!

While I am glad STAPs are coming out, I think they might be dead on arrival. Speeder Bikes are decent, but aren't exactly known for being tough. If the STAPs are able to activate and get two dodges before being shot at (which isn't too hard thanks to Agile 1), they have the same effective health as the Speeder Bikes. If they can't get the dodges before being attacked they will just evaporate. Continuing the comparison to Speeder Bikes, they lose the pistols, meaning they don't have a weapon that isn't fixed: front. Their main gun is overall worse, only being better against targets in cover, which is something speeders are good at getting around anyway so they don't really need that. They have AI. The only thing they really gain is Coordinate, but that doesn't help the STAPs themselves. And they are a whopping 2 points cheaper, and if you want them to be able to reliably use Coordinate, you will need to take Command Control Array which makes them the same price. I was really hoping Alex and Luke might have figured out Speeders at this point...

Well...that is super confusing!

Based on Del Meeko they will show the symbol of the unit if it can be used on any on that type of unit.

Does anyone have a link to the video? I can't find it on You Tube.

You are not kidding. I usually give them the benefit of the doubt but how in the ever-loving ****-word did they not realize that would be super confusing?

It's on the FFG official twitch page, a little hard for me to get a link on mobile.

C-3PO is a Counterpart. Del is just a Heavy Weapon upgrade.

How very correct you are, however they are a card based upgrade to a unit that has its own green number on it so I just looked to see if I was missing something.

They kind of explained in the stream. Around 26-27 mins into the twitch stream.

They said officially the generic type of this unit is known as Imperial Special Forces, so I'm guessing they weren't able to rename them to anything else (due to licensing) to avoid confusion.

And they couldn't specify Inferno squad on the upgrade card, as this would mean the generic unit couldn't take it.

i was thinking the same thing with the wookies they aren't played already and this effectively replaces them. Was never a fan of the unit thematically anyways but feel bad for the people that were into it.

You know, everytime I think that in my head, I remember every time I've played them in skirmish, they literally tear up the entire board and chew up units. I've had them man-handle jedi before. Skirmish is just a different beast and some stuff that is normally terrible, fits into that niche.

One thing nobody is talking about for the Command Control Array card: Umbarans are now confirmed 😄

How so? The melee weapon shown off was a heavy so the rest of the squad doesn't get access to it. It looked like dookie to me.

Man that sculpt....

I wasn’t too excited about Infernos because I was originally focused more on units for theme, but those models look gorgeous.

Everything they showed us look great.

ATRT seems terribad...

Care to share some details as to why you would think so?

Hmmm...is it worth replacing a DLT/RT on Buckets with Meeko? I think stormtroopers would be the best corps unit to use him on since they are cheaper and they surge...although the free aim that shores get would help him to proc Lethal.

I think this is just a case of reusing art as part of cost cutting measures. Found this on Facebook: No photo description available.

The art is apparently taken from page 122 and 123 of the "Collapse of the Republic" RPG book. Plus the Umbarian is in an AAT, which is a unit already included.

I know, it was just a joke. But I am 100% certain we will get Umbarans eventually, because why would we not? But we probably won't get them for a very long time.

I wasn't sure since a lot of people are taking it as gospel elsewhere. I would like to see Umbarans as well (since they would make for interesting models to break up the sea of droids), but I would be surprised if they were released before Geonosians personally, since the bugs have the movie recognition.
