You have to reveal ALL units found from Blessings of Tzeentch

No you don't.

Actually, yes you do. The "any number of units" is definitively referring to however many units you find. Though skullcrushingly poorly worded, it's their tragic way of signifying a variable amount. In other words, whether that number of units is 1,5, or 0, one of those units found is put into play randomly. Only the most munchkin of munchkins would actually read that as, "Pick your favorite BA unit and put into play...anywhere you want." C'mon, honestly?

Perhaps you can reference an official ruling to this effect?

Nothing in the effects refers to "reveal".

You pick up the top 5 cards of your deck and search ANY number of Units (1.5.0). Then, you put ONE of them in to play at random. I know it seems like it's overpowered, but it's not: you pay 3 and sacrifice a Unit to do it.

If there's not the word "reveal" you have not to reveal anything. :)

Great gimpy Goolagongs, are we actually debating this?!llorando.gif Nearly 150 views and you're the only two folks willing to represent the Lollipop Guild? I thought W:I was a munchkin-free zone. (I kid)

Guys, can either of you give me a reasonable explanation of how a selection from a group of one can in any way be termed random?

Lazarus,

I agree that the intent of the card is pretty clearly to have you randomly play a unit from all units found in the five cards. However, with the way that dwarf cannon crew has been ruled, I dont see why you wouldnt interpret this card the same way. So it would seem to me that you would be able to only find one unit to from "randomly".

While I think this is how it would work based off of past rulings, I do not think that either of these cards should really work this way. Seems like it would be better to just force the player to reveal all 5 cards in both cases. I've sent this question in twice and have not gotten a reply.

T, I respect your thoughtfulness on this. We agree on the intent of all cards like this, clearly.

I keep hearing about this phantom ruling on Dwarven Cannon Crew, but I'm not finding it. I've read and reread the FAQ countless times and still see nothing there about it. It seems folks are mistaken about that card, and the others like it.

Can you give a reasonable, rule based, explanation of why you have to reveal the cards found and/or searched? That is your original claim.

As for a selection from a group of one, of course it can't be random but the only solution to not allowing that would be to say the card doesn't work unless you find 2 or more units.

I would just assume if you find 1 unit, you put it into play. If you find more than one unit, pass the units face down to your opponent, let him/her shuffle them oh so carefully without turning them face up, draw a unit and place it in a zone. As for needing two units for it to be random, that doesn't make sense. Random simply means governed by chance. Getting one unit is still governed by chance, unless of course there was a card to arrange the top five cards of your deck in any way and you played that card right before playing blessings of tzeentch.

You guys have fun slapping each other. I'm outta here. The other couple hundred people who read the thread get it.
