Wondering if anyone had ever come up with a X-Wing Furball/Aces High style game for Armada?
Teying to think of a way to get a group around the table at once.

I’m not totally sure what Furball or Aces High is, but I do know there is a multiplayer Armada variant that someone came up with years ago called Take The Station. I don’t remember the rules, as multiplayer games really aren’t my cup of tea; I hate politicking in games, and multiplayer games inevitably incorporate some of that. But the rules must be online somewhere.
If you want to get a lot of players around a table, my suggestion is to just play 2-on-2 or 3-on-3 Sector Fleet Armada. The Sector Fleet rules ARE online somewhere for sure, and they allow you to retain the strategic depth of Objective play and all that, which (to me) is required for a good Armada game... Sector Fleet is basically Armada with bigger point caps.
You'll find both at the wiki. Just type it into the search bar.

Furball was a fan version of X-wing during the 1.0 days. FFG releases an official version on the format for 2.0 and called it Aces High.
Basically, each player gets a small number of points to build one pretty basic ship. Players then deploy all around the edge of the mat and it’s a free for all battle. You score points by damaging and destroying other ships. If you are destroyed, you respawn at your designated spawn point. Game goes a set number of rounds. Quick pace and Lots of fun!
Thought about trying it with Armada. Only small base ship and limited points. Got to figure out a good balanced point limit.
Though someone might have already done it.
I found it works with 68 points, small ship only, no squads.
Here are some of the ships we've used:
CR90 Corvette A (44)
• Intel Officer (7)
• Engine Techs (8)
• Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7)
• Jaina's Light (2)
= 68 Points
Nebulon-B Support Refit (51)
• Veteran Captain (3)
• Auxiliary Shields Team (3)
• Linked Turbolaser Towers (7)
• Vanguard (4)
= 68 Points
MC30c Torpedo Frigate (63)
• Ordnance Experts (4)
= 67 Points
Arquitens Light Cruiser (54)
• Captain Needa (2)
• Reinforced Blast Doors (5)
• Turbolaser Reroute Circuits (7)
= 68 Points
Raider I (44)
• Iden Versio (6)
• Ordnance Experts (4)
• Disposable Capacitors (3)
• External Racks (3)
= 60 Points
Raider II (48)
• Weapons Battery Techs (5)
• Disposable Capacitors (3)
• Heavy Ion Emplacements (9)
= 65 Points
Gladiator I (56)
• Demolisher (10)
= 66 Points
Gladiator I (56)
• Captain Brunson (5)
• Ordnance Experts (4)
• External Racks (3)
= 68 Points
68 was chosen really to limit the upgrades on the Gladiator and MC30, and the others have some options that are nice, but not "mandatory" for the competitive/tournament optimized versions of the ships.
It is fun to use the "Take the Station" objective/rules with the low points - since the goal of that game forces engagement and getting the ships to close with the center area to attempt to win.
In our Furball each person can re-spawn their ship once after it is destroyed - so that way the game continues to be fun for everyone.

Thanks. Gonna give it a try. Looking at doing a Star Wars Day on May 4 if we get an all clear. Thought of having an X-Wing and Armada Furball and trying to come up with something for Legion.
Also check out the "Take the Station" scenario available on the Armada section of the FFG website. It sounds similar to what you are looking for or at least close enough if you wanted to tweak the points, etc. to use as a starting point.

That’s pretty cool!!
Glad I asked here first before trying to reinvent the wheel.
