High / unnatural AG bonuses vs attacks

By Cobramax76, in Dark Heresy Rules Questions

Ive looked through the books ive got ( DH core, IH, RHB , RT , erratas ) and havent found an answer that came up during last gaming session.

My question is this. IF you have a NPC that has Unnatural Agility AND Unnatural Speed traits ( giving a effective movement bonus of AGx3 ) wouldnt they get extra attacks half actions or something for the raw speed they do move at if they so chose to use it in melee ( ranged still takes the time ) but in melee speed counts for alot and if you have a crapton of extra speed ( read as your AG initiative bonus of a few DEGREES higher at a base ) shouldnt you get a lil something extra...like extra attacks or bonuses to hit in melee or something....It makes sense but im unsure how the game handles it. Any insight / creative ideas would be appreciated. Would like to have something in place by next gaming session if possible to handle the rules. To help out and give a better picture of it the NPC has the following with reguards to melee ability

AG 68 ( his BASE initiative bonus is starting at 26+1d10 )

Traits: Unnatural Speed AND Agility

Talents: Swift strike, Lightning strike, lightning reflexes, sure strike, rapid reaction, blademaster

So simple question. What would you give the NPC as far as extra...whatever to reflect their extreme speed difference?

Only the extra attacks that the talents give him. If they don't have the talents that give them extra attacks, they don't get extra attacks.

And I'm not sure how much Unnatural Agility your character has but this does NOT ad to his speed, only unnatural speed increase speed (that and quadruped)

I wouldn't give the NPC any extra attacks. Sheer speed doesn't mean a character can make any more effective attacks. Unnatural agility is nice for getting in attacks before anyone else, and Unnatural Speed nice for getting into position faster.

Nothing.

Initiative, actions, attacks and movements are separte things, concerning the rules, in DH.

Unnatural Agilty means better initiative and just that, nothing more.

You could have Agility 60, Unnatural Agilty and Lightning Reflexes, you probably act first, but that's all !

Or you can have Agility 17, Lightning Attack, so you can make 3 attacks on one turn, but probably acting the last. gui%C3%B1o.gif

Unnatural agility affects everything based on agility bonus except movement, so there are some things other than initiative, how far you can dodge blast attacks for example.

Per IH Unnatural stats lower the difficulty of all rolls related to the ability by 1, which will affect e.g. Dodge rolls as well. In case you were talking in general here.

Concealment, Silent Move, Shadowing and Sleight of Hand - all of which are Agility-based Opposed Tests - also benefit significantly from Unnatural Agility, gaining a number of bonus Degrees of Success on any such Opposed Tests equal to the Unnatural Agility multiplier.

Ah thank you Nihilius and N0-1_H3r3. I actually had forgotten about those particulars for unnatural AG ( even though i did read them..lol ) Makes for much more interesting gameplay. That and seeing how long its going to take the players to notice things arent quite ...normal with the new addition ( NPC )...as i am NOT telling them anything other than his appearance and explaining what hes doing for things....right now they attribute it to him being a "glanded" death cult assassin with highly trained abilities nd reflexes...lol if they only knew....lmao. Those reminders of the extra particulars of the trait will be most fun to toy with next session. My hats off to you fellow gamers for your shared info and insight

In fact, I was just focusing on Cobramax76's question. gui%C3%B1o.gif

All other concerns were (and are) just unnecessarily confusing, in this case, IMO.
