So, whats the best solution right now? Vassal? TTS?

I'm itching to play someone else online and get some practice.

Vassal all the way. You can show up and find a game pretty much anytime.

Ctrl-click on a ship while it's on the map to play around the 103+ buttons you have. there are a few pages of buttons.

Just do TTS, everything is automated past initial setup

some is, some isn't. Same as with Vassal now.

Same with TTS. There were 50 people on Friday night. Just had a 22 person store champ today as well.

No need for starting a war between Vassal and TTS... both are equally useful.

My feeling is, that Vassal is better suited for people who are looking for competition and just want to play a quick and easy, fastpaced game of Xwing.

TTS on the other hand seems to be the better fit for casual players, who just wanna hang out with friends in the voice-chat.

I am happy for both tools. They are a great way to maintain my loved hobby, while we are in lockdown.
