Not only the casting, but the fact that we're gonna get some Ahsoka-action!
Ahsoka Tano cast in Mandalorian Season 2
Hmm... I (think I) hope it's true, but I am always dubious about leaks.
If it is true, this could be quite interesting, but wouldn't it throw a monkey wrench into the other show they've been planning to follow Clone Wars Season 7? Plus, I'm not sure how I feel about someone other than Ashley Eckstein playing Ahsoka.

I get that on the voice-level. But she does not look like Ahsoka... and the personality... I think Rosario can capture that.
Plus, Ahsoka would be way older then AE by the time period of the Mandalorian...
Maybe they can dub-in the audio? (I know, never happening)

I wasn't saying Eckstein should play Ahsoka, I was just saying I'm not sure anyone else should.
Ha, fair enough.
I wonder if this means we're getting Sabine as well. They're supposed to be together around that period of time.
Not to nitpick but...
"We reached out to Lucasfilm to request a statement from the company or Dave Filoni, but received no response. We have been chasing this scoop for a month now and have reached out to Rosario’s reps, who also didn’t respond."
So, where exactly is their confirmation? All I read in the article is "here's what we think, we asked and got no answer"
Not that I don't want live ahsoka but all I read is another rumor

They said they "confirmed from two independent sources" for whatever good that is.

A fair point. This is a completely unsourced, unfounded rumour, your basic something someone said on the internet.
Already, different actors have played Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solo and Lando Calrissian in different films. No big deal IMO.
There is always a way to have both, in Solo, we got Ray Park and Sam Witwer....
(Personally, I'm HYPED for Rosario!)

Am I the only one that thinks the "Armourer" is Sabine? Possibly Bo Katan, but I think Sabine would make the most sense and develop a link to Ahsoka.

The voice isn't quite there, and the stylistic choices definitely aren't. I think the armorer is also taller and more sturdily built than Sabine. Bo Katan is more possible, but even less likely in my opinion, though largely for meta reasons.
A big driver behind both of these opinions from a non-meta point of view is the armor. It is such a drastic change from either of their armors that I find it quite unlikely from an in-universe perspective.
If we're getting a live-action Ahsoka, then I really hope that the actress has an easier time of (stage) fighting in the montral/lekku costume bits than Shaak-Ti's actress did.

Sabine wouldn't be caught dead in bland armour like that, nevermind the fur cloak.
There is literally no reason why the Armourer would be somebody we know. Plus, when I think about Sabine or Bo-Katan, 'woman with minor superstrength who specialises in smithing and melee combat and could armwrestle a Wookiee' is not what comes to mind.

they could always add them digitally
I hope and pray that KathKen is not allowed to sit in the writing or allowed on set at all 😄

Why do people post this kind of stupid nonsense.

Why is it that she always gets the blame for everything, even the stuff she has no influence over, but never gets the credit for the stuff she does right, even the stuff she's directly responible for?

Because of the way the sequel trilogy turned out, both financially and critically? And the fact The Mandalorian - solely run by Favreau and Filoni - is beloved by all (so far)?
Bad management of a franchise will almost certainly lead to "stupid nonsense" such as asking for the removals or, at the very least, smaller roles for certain management personnel.

The idea that Kennedy wouldn't or shouldn't be allowed on set is beyond idiotic on every conceivable level. That's simply not how the world works, and speaks to a complete detachment from reality or utter ignorance on the part of the commenter.
Sad how timely this cover remains.
Nice try, Stan Fresh, but her being female has absolutely nothing to do with this. Male CEOs, CFOs, and CCOs get demoted and canned all the time.
could we not derail the thread into yet another "KK/disney ruined star wars"?
there's been enough of these already
