So, last night before everything closes for good, I purchased a 24" PVC pipe with designs to make two towers for my Legion terrain. I've got MDF board for bases, I glued one of them down and shaved a little off the top to make sure those units (presently and hopefully soon to be released) with Jump 2 could make it to the top. I'm debating on whether I want battlements or much cover up there (snipers will already get low profile and I'm not sure if heavy cover for a full unit is needed (or wanted). I don't have a ton of light cover for my board in general. I can fit an entire unit on top (measured and there's room for exactly 8 bases total)

My big question is, what do you guys use for doors? I've adapted a couple other buildings with Necromunda doors, but really need something tall enough but thin enough it doesn't create a huge difference in profile. What do you use? Anyone make something out of plasticard? I'd prefer not to 3d print just bc it gets expensive to have those printed unless someone knows of free files I can try to get my friend to print them for me.

You could try these or these . They're sized for 28mm, so they're a little small, but this can be disguised with careful placement and/or a small step or threshold under the door. The upside is that the sprues are full of other bits that make great additions for custom-built terrain.

I have been looking at the 28mm stuff just because it's more readily available but its usually on the small size (at least the GW stuff usually is) I have some wooden doors and castle type doors but nothing Sci-Fi at the moment. I've been looking for hatches to vehicles even like a tank or a plane just because I could make that work. I like the Maelstrom's other gribbles and bits for decorating though.

A lot of stuff for Infinity is pretty close, even if the aesthetic isn't quite the same. I also seem to recall a company that made doors of various sizes out of laser-cut card. They were quite cheap (always a plus), but I recently suffered a computer crash so I no longer have access to all of my bookmarks.

It says these are legion bunker doors but they look pretty close to regular doors and since your friend can 3d print these you have a choice of design here and he can size them to whatever you want. Also a lot of buildings on thingiverse for legion have doors with them that you could just print instead of the whole building too.
