This came up in one of our games last night.

Can the 3 events that let you automatically win a challenge (Feigned Retreat, Misinformation, True Power) be on both attack and defense?

I thought they could but someone argued that since it says "If an opponent would win an X challenge against you..." it could only be used for defense. Keying on the word "against".

Just looking for confirmation either way.

winning a challenge against you doesn't imply anything about being on attack or defense. If I attacked you and won, I win the challenge against you. if you attacked me and lost, I win the challenge against you.

It can be used for either.

That's what I was thinking, since most other cards specifiy "as the attacker" or "as the defender" I figured this would be for both.
