Is it too early to start this thread? 🤣
Based off of current precedent, I'm predicting April 3rd. *JUST A PREDICTION, I DON'T ACTUALLY KNOW*
Anybody think it will be a later Friday?

Anybody think it will be a later Friday?
Last 2 releases have been first friday, and April 10 is good friday. So the 3rd is a pretty safe bet.
It will be great to have 1 full expansion with each aspect.
It's interesting, she is the only hero where after her preview, I really dont know where she stands in the "meta". I'm sure we will know more after the stream later this month but it wont be until we see the Protection and Aggression Preparation cards before we know how good she'll be with those aspects.
I really hope that's how it works out, not because I want to get the Black Widow deck (which I would love to dive into, don't get me wrong), but mostly because that would point to Dr. Strange releasing May 1. And I love Dr. Strange, both as a character and from what they've revealed about his deck so far.
I'm also looking forward to more Justice cards. I think it was the strongest aspect out of the box (likely why they've saved it for the last in this "cycle"), but it is falling behind a bit. Aggression had a couple of really great additions that bumped it up in the solo play sphere, and Hulk looks to help that even more. So it's definitely time to see more Justice love.

I distinctly remember Matt saying on the live stream that his favorite aspect with Black Widow was Protection, thanks to one card in the pack that they, of course, didn't dare spoil. That's quite the statement, considering she's officially featured with Justice to begin with.

Featured aspect doesn't always mean that aspect is best. Protection Ms Marvel is not that great (especially when compared to Aggression and Justice) and I'd even would probably rather run Leadership. I probably wouldn't run Dr Strange as Protection either (although honestly, no matter what aspect you choose, the aspect cards will generally be used as resources for signature and invocation cards).
As for Black Widow, there is no obvious synergies atm, so I assume Justice should be as decent as anything as it appears as it has the most preparation cards (or cards that reference them).
Looks like I was right, April 3rd it is. Can't wait!

Where’d you find this?

Well we’re not getting Black Widow next week then.

It sucks but it’s understandable.
😥 Booooo! But I understand.
Yeah, it's safe to say that nearly everything will be getting delayed. It's unfortunate but understandable.
Until next Friday comes and goes or they update the 'Upcoming' page to reflect it, I'm stubbornly refusing to accept that the Asmodee press release applies to FFG (even though it almost certainly does).
I want my Champions and AHLCG stuff before they stop shipping stuff! 🙂
Edit: Okay... I take it back. They announced in the FFG Live event today that new releases are delayed for FFG as well until the end of April and that the announcement will go up on the website this week. Now I' bummed.

Was hoping Black Widow was going to get through in time. I'm more excited for some of the other upcoming heroes, but I was really looking forward to having an extra set of cards for every aspect.
All the Black Widow cards have been spoiled over on the Discord. Not sure if it's legit to post links to leaks in such in here so I'll leave it at that.
Well from the spoilers it looks like Widow is going to be as strong as Cap. Her signature cards cover alot of aggression and justice type effects with at least one card providing a leadership effect. The only aspect she seems to have less benefit from is ironically protection.
About that. I normally avoid spoilers but I cannot wait an extra month to know what is the Protection card in her pack. What is it? You may use a Spoiler tag if anybody would be so kind, thank you. 😅

Defensive Stance
P reparation. Tactic.
Max 1 per player.
Hero interrupt: When you would take any amount of damage, discard Defensive Stance -> prevent 3 of that damage.
Thank you for that @maniakmedic . I like this card but I am left a bit underwhelmed. In the livestream Matt had answered a question saying his favorite aspect with Widow was Protection because of that card, which he wouldn't spoil of course. But it doesn't strike me as worthy of such hype, unless maybe if the cost was 0?

I agree with the Designer that Protection may very well be her best aspect. But that is due to her card Synth Suit, not really Defensive Stance (tho the 2 are decent together)
Her full pack is here.

Black Widow has good offense, good defense, and good thwarting potential. A solid well rounded hero - not Cap level, but that isnt a bad thing.
Winter Soldier is insane, his stat line is good value at 4 cost, any amount is discount is pure value and getting those discounts is not hard.
Synth Suit is a really cool card because it makes you make a strategic decision. Do you defend betting that you get the refresh?
I see her being good with both Justice and Protection. Justice has 2 preparations and Coulson for synergy while Protection synergizes well with Synth Suit.
Really solid kit with no duds. I also really like Rapid Response and Counterpunch (tho they dont really sell me on BW-A or BW-L). Quincarrier is also awesome and I love how it is balanced with Helicarrier.
The only disappointing card for me is Quake. Minions are almost always dead before they can scheme. But I suppose you can always use her as a cheap blocker.

Well, I did not look at the other cards, but Synth Suit is indeed worth gold. I might have misunderstood the meaning of Matt's comment -- they did not spoil Synth Suit either during the live stream. Therefore my premise (that he was talking about the Protection card) turns out having been the wrong one.
I will probably not play Black Widow Protection for long, if at all. The next Protection deck I look forward to play is with Hulk, a deck which is beautifully summarized by the art on Desperate Defense, which we'll get, alongside other awesome Protection cards, from the Dr. Strange Pack.
I am dying to play Black Widow as Justice. For thematic reasons first and foremost, but I also want to 2-hand a solo campaign, going through all current scenario content, with her alongside She-Hulk Justice and see how far I can go before losing once. Justice is strong, perhaps too much so, and two capable heroes using this aspect feel potentially "broken" to me. But also very, very, very, did I say very, fun. 😄
Edited by AscarelAch! Sorry I forgot the cost: 2
I do like it, but Protection isn't one of my go-to aspects, so I don't have much of a frame of reference for where it fits in the meta. It's entirely possible there's a card coming up that makes it a killer card and he couldn't say. *shrug*
I am really stoked about the Leadership card, Rapid Response. And Black Widow's deck in general. Though Dr. Strange is really what I'm waiting for.
I think Justice and Protection will be best for her but she does have some synergies with Aggression and Leadership (her damage is largely anti minion, lining up with aggression's anti minion cards and Winter Soldier is an insane ally that works well with inspired, Get Ready, and Make the Call in addition to Rapid Reponse being an amazing card)

Probably depends on who you're up against. Modok can be tough to take out, and if you need to flip to Alter-Ego while he’s up, that 2 damage with no retaliate can be huge against him.

The biggest thing Defensive Stance has going for it is that it isn’t labeled as a “defense.” So unlike many of the cards that you use to avoid damage (I believe Backflip and Wiggle Room, if not Cap’s Shield Block as well), you can use it to block damage that isn’t the result of an attack.
For me, Defensive stance is an easy to proc prep that works well with Synth Suit (Defend, proc Defensive Stance, Ready)
As for Quake, You would have play her, delay blocking an attack, have a minion against a player in alter-ego form that you dont kill and then you are only trading threat for damage. Too many hoops, not enough payoff.
Modok, will be crazy annoying for her to deal with, regardless of whether you have Quake or not.

Quake is likely to play into Black Widows ability to hang out in Alter-Ego mode more
