I wouldn't exactly call that a delay though. We have had product (including starters) that had announced/indicated release dates which were later changed. Which is what I consider a delay.

The gap between announcement and release I wouldn't term a "delay" since there is always going to be some gap there, unless FFG stops announcing product entirely.

I mean, the preview article WAAAAAAYYY back on the 1st of August last year indicated that it would be out in the first quarter of 2020. unless they mysteriously appear on shelves in the next couple weeks they are delayed, and frankly from the perspective of FFG clearly they were meant to be out by now, so regardless of semantics they are delayed.

it might be Carona virus related but I feel that these would have been manufactured before it was an issue, but who knows.

Only thing I have heard so far that sounds reasonable is that a local distributer cant get gaming stock of any kind because there aren't enough shipping containers moving around to be emptied and filled up with his stock to get on a boat, since none are leaving China there aren't any containers to use in the merry-go-round that is international logistics.

I deeply apologize for using a word that might not have been the 100% most correct choice to describe a product being released 4 months later than is typical.

All I'm trying to do is ensure that we both understand what the other means by "delay." This is definitely the biggest gap between announcement and actual release, and it is possible that it is even the biggest actual delay. Hard to tell exactly with the vague nature of FFG's release announcements, we don't actually know what the original target dates are since the monthly releases seem to have ended. The announcements aren't very consistent in lead time (varying between around 120 days to 200+) so don't seem like the best barometer. FFg has indicated though that the AAT and Sabre tank should have been released the same day though, so the time between Sabre release and AAT release could be used as the actual delay amount for a hard number comparison.

At this point though, I have to agree that the AAT is definitely shaping up to the be absolute longest delay by either definition so far (and hopefully ever).

@Mace Windu I wasn't trying to indicate that no delay exists (when it rather obviously does since FFG has even publicly acknowledge it at this point), just trying to establish a common means of determining how delayed a given product is.

At least it's not as bad as Armada. They had Clone Wars ships "soft" announced (no slide but I believe it was in response to a question during the Q&A portion of the panel) at the same time as the X-wing and Legion stuff was, and are still waiting on those...

nothing like being set back for a month for picking the wrong faction...
