so out of one box, is it possible to field a normal unit of either one of these as well as a strike team?

I was wondering this as well. (someone has these for preorder with a delivery date of April 28th) I think 'YES' if you build them so.

Just like the other figure expansions lately, they will probably have an extra head and set of arms for a couple of swaps. You will be able to field them so, but at the cost of building the sniper or echo or fives.

Just like the Upgrade expansion you could field them as one single unit or you could build them as "add-on" troopers with different roles.

The Vibrosword isn't a specific model since it's an Armament upgrade for the whole unit, and not just a heavy weapon mini. I think it's possible to have every mini built with a Vibrosword equipped (except maybe on the heavy weapons), but at the very least most of them can have it on their model.

But yes, for both units, you have enough models to field both a strike team and a full unit. The only limitation will be that you can't have the same heavy weapon in both as there is only 1 copy of each heavy weapon mini.
