That is a spectacular description.
The judges would also have accepted “Frankenstein amalgamation of ...”
I take back all the complaints I made about the sequel trilogy just rehashing old designs.
I wouldn't mind seeing these as the default resistance ship in TFA with some T70s sprinkled to flavor. Pretty dandy.
Thank the maker that that abomination never made it past the concept stage.

Not a fan of the overly asymmetrical wings (it would look super cool with identical wings), but at least it wouldn't be just another "upgraded" ship.
Symetrial would look like an inverted Torrent of sorts.

Not if the left wing is used as the reference instead of the right one. Then it'd look like a nice, upgunned, A-wing replacement.

Honestly, I like it. I just want the asymmetric wing to be toned down, and to know what in-lore reason might exist to have an asymmetric wing. Honestly, I also wouldn't hate it if the long wing just wasn't bent and was shorter. I like the idea of it having missile mounts. Would also like consistent cannon types on both wings.

I'll admit the Starfortress as it is, is not a direct combat vehicle. Unless you want it to screen fighters, then it can
do
that.
But you know what'd make the Starfortress better? Missile racks that fold out of that massive tower.

To be fair, I kind of dug the look of the Starfortress in the trailer...

It's a cool ship. We just saw its worst hour. Imagine how it operates in its greatest hour!
I tell you, that thing can screen fighters like nobody's business, but really truly imagine replacing the bombs with a massive rack of torpedoes that pop out the sides.
