In the end game against the Ancient One do characters keep Blessings, if yes are they subject to the usual Upkeep each round of rolling a 1 on the die to discard the Blessing.

Yeah, kroen wants to preserve his record for having the entire first page (excluding stickies) have nothing but kroen-started threads (I remember those dark, dark days).

I feel funny saying this, but kroen has actually been pretty usefull to the community lately on the general pages and with rules questions. I wont agree with any unthematic custom items (desert eagle for one) or rule braking ones and I dont condone personal insults or wierd accusations (ie. that avi is a souless investigator sacrificing monster in league with the ancient ones!). I also think that seeing critisism as personal attacks is a bit immature and thankfully we have mostly a mature crowd responding so things have gone well overall.

He doesnt respond to most baiting comments and isnt spamming the boards lately like mad. I say maybe a deep breath and see what happens? Kroen is active and often quick to respond to people that might be in mid game with the correct rule for the case. So maybe we should cut him a break and see if he realizes that discussing Arkham isnt a pissing contest and the little things he does to help are actually of value while arguments that go off topic arent really needed or reflect well on anyone that starts them.

Dark days are over, but Kroen is still here, so maybe he is catching on to the fact that being of value to the community actually goes a very long way towards people appricating him.

I'll be honest. I am not a regular around here, but I check every few hours to see if the FAQ or any new information has been posted, as I'm still trying to decipher why I like this game and my friends don't. But it was a real turn-off to see every thread made by one guy there for a bit.

My take is simple: Kroen wants to be a game designer. Nothing wrong with that; I have a friend who should get a small print run of his custom game out the door here soon. But the thing that bugs me is all the rules variations he puts out there. Shouldn't that kind of thing go in the fan creations thread?

In any case.. I really have no place to speak, and this thread shouldn't be about any individual. Every individual decides what persona they choose to present to the internet, and the consequences of that choice. In the end I just come here for rules answers and a glimmer of hope RE: the FAQ.
