A little help with a campaign set 15 ABY

By Mistervimes, in Game Masters

When I run games set in a defined universe (Marvel, DC, Star Trek, Star Wars, etc.) I usually find some corner of the timeline where nothing is firmly established. After discussion with my player, we decided that 15 ABY is a good spot. We're not stepping on the toes of "The Mandalorian" and we aren't dealing with the new trilogy. The players and I agreed that dealing with warlords on the rim and small parts of the Imperial Remnant is their preferred sweet spot.

Once I've established my quiet corner of the universe I usually make a list of ideas and places that I want to play with in the story. I began reading Marvel's new Star Wars comics, watching "Rebels," re-watching "Clone Wars" and finding tons of fun things. I'm a big fan of all these things, but now I have a great many of the places and characters stuck in my head, but there is no post-ESB information on most of these places.

Here's where you come in. Help me spitball narratively interesting things that became of these places after the fall of the Empire.

  • Shu-Torun: The planet survived the rebel/partisan assault, but what became of the volcanic mining world? Do the Ore Dukes reform the Kingdom? Do the Delving Citadels and Combat Drills become common technology used throughout the Empire and beyond? Does the world lose its market share and the culture that it created?
  • Techno Union: We know that the Techno Union was broken up with the death of Wat Tambor and that the Union was absorbed into the Empire and "This forced its low-level technicians and machine smiths to seek new employment all over the galaxy." After the Empire falls, does a new Techno Union rise? Do smaller Techno Guilds form? Do small pockets of the Union's technology still exist undiscovered?
  • Pyke Syndicate: "Before the Battle of Yavin, Quay Tolsite served as director of the Pykes' operations on Kessel. He was killed in a raid on the mines that sparked a slave uprising and droid revolution. The damage to the mines and loss of coaxium cut into the Pykes' profits and upset the galactic underworld's delicate balance of power." Do the Pykes recover? Are they absorbed by the Hutts or (later) the Nikto Cartels?

Any ideas are appreciated.
