Whilst browsing the web for terrain inspiration, I ran across a great series of tutorial articles, collected here . All of them have some great tips for constructing terrain that, with a little tweaking, would work just fine on a Legion table. The 'Hobby' dropdown at the top has links for other modeling and painting tips which are eminently applicable. I've never heard of the game, though, nor had anyone at my FLGS. Most of the articles are from several years ago, so I wonder if it never caught on, or didn't see much distribution.
At any rate, there's a webstore which stocks a variety of minis. Several of the robots/mechs and drones could see use in a Legion table, I expect. Additionally, some of their infantry minis are posable to some degree and could be kitbashed into more SW-appropriate forms. Of particular interest to me is that they have a couple of terrain sprues ( here and here ), the which contain all sorts of doors, windows, panels, fittings, ladders, etc. to glue onto boxes, tubes, chunks of foam, and so on for making game terrain.
Which brings me to the essential question: scale. Judging from the photos on the website, I'd guess that the mini scale is "fairly close" to that of Legion, which probably means that it would work, but might require a little help with verisimilitude. Does anyone have any experience with minis from this line? Is the scale close to Legion scale? Larger? Smaller? Thanks in advance.
