Hulk livestream
I'm kind of "meh" on Hulk, though I do want to give him a try. I love the Beat Cop card for Justice. And "You'll Pay for That!" goes a long way toward making Aggression more viable as a solo aspect option.
yeah, i was really hoping for some more interesting mechanics. unless he's got some more interesting cards, he might end up being the first hero i skip cause he just looks like a really boring, generic hero that just does tons of damage.
The new mechanic here is "if you paid using only X resources." I think this will have a pretty significant effect on deckbuilding choices.

while new, thats just an already existing mechanic taken a step farther. as for deckbuilding, it wont have that big of an impact i think, its just like cap marvel energy resources, except physical instead. if you think thats interesting enough for you to get, great, but for me, from what i've seen so far, theres nothing interesting enough to make me want to get this pack.
It is always more agression cards and maybe interesting splash in the 3 other aspects even if you never play the hero.

yeah, i will wait to make up my mind until i see the rest of the cards in the pack. if i do get the pack i will for sure play the hero. for me, its just a matter of whether the aspect cards are cool/good enough to make me want the pack despite it's lackluster hero.
I mean, the abilities on his identity are not the most interesting but his stats are strong and he has some very powerful cards. 3 strength resource, 10 damage and overkill for 3, he can get up to 5 str with boundless rage and combat training and also has a ready.
So yeah, he is a straight forward hero and somewhat one dimensional but that doesnt mean not fun. Doing 13+ damage in a single attack seems pretty fun to me
I dont think every hero needs to be like Dr Strange.
Hulk smashes. This deck has cards to smash enemies. I think this is going to be fun to play. And I want to play Tenacity now -- enough said. 😁
Least interesting hero so far. Maybe the livestream will change my mind.
He has 18 health and 3 defense. That makes him a nice options for Protection. Especially if you get Immovable Object on him. He can certainly take alot of hits. I think Banner should have been hand size 6 though. Also looks like he has a ton of physical resources in his hero cards. So there is that from a deck building perspective. Hulk's negative ability on his card usually is no issue considering the guy only has a 4 card hand unless he starts the turn as Banner. Then it's still only 5. He's gonna need to burn his hand each turn to do anything anyway.
As far as the rest of his design goes yeah he can hit hard and take a hit like a champ. He's not the most interesting hero when compared to the other stuff we've already gotten. So far I like She-Hulk way better as far as Hulk designs go. Hulk Smash is pretty a pretty nice trump card though. Giving it Overkill makes it a flexible damage dealer, and can help with wasted damage from Hulk's large potential attack value. Without Overkill it's pretty much on par with Channel Energy or Repulser Blast, but it takes less setup and is more consistent.
The cards in the pack on the other hand are pretty cool. I really like "Toe to Toe" and "You'll Pay For That!". Also "Beat Cop" is real interesting.
Add: So at the end of this we would have 2 packs of each aspect except Leadership. I wonder if we'll get one before the big box or if the big box comes with a leadership hero. Also this really seems like a long run without another villain pack. Thor, Widow, Strange, Hulk. That's four months without a new challenge to test these heroes against. I was kinda hoping they were holding back a villain somewhere in this schedule to break it up. Either that or I hope that big box has alot of scenario space in it. Though on the plus side our player card pool is expanding very rapidly. So that's nice because that's usually an issue in co-op LCGs. The player card pool grows real slow due to the way the games are released. At the end of these releases we'll have several strategies per aspect it feels.

Add Endurance and he'll be 25 health. Give him Expert Defense and Unflappable and you'll be able to stay as Hulk longer without feeling the pinch from having a smaller hand. Load the deck with stuff to keep him standing (Desperate Defense, Indomitable, Tenacity) and he'll make a good wall. It doesn't play to the physical resources angle, but for Protection I don't think it has to.

Assuming his Inner Demons don't show up
Based on comments in the stream, card numbers and my gut feeling, Here's what I think his core cards are.
5 Event cards with 2 copies each. There's very few Hero cards that show up as 3-of in the core 15, and we need to get 10 cards into the 5 slots before Limitless Strength
1 Resource card with 2 copies. Either this card has 2 copies, or the next one does, and I don't think it's the next one.
1 unique Support card. This is an Alter-ego card that gives a hand size boost. Probably a location, and likely to be the only non-Physical resource card. (Mental perhaps?)
2 Upgrade cards with 1 copy each. We've seen them both.
@phillos Black Widow is the only Justice hero pack heading our way. So Justice & Leadership only have one pack each.
Dr Strange and Hulk are starting a new round of four of aspect grouped hero's. Hulk is the last hero before the Story Box comes out. The Story Box might have aspect cards and it would likely be even between all four. The next hero packs after the Story Box will be Leadership & Justice.

They mentioned in the live stream that the story box is going to have full hero decks, so I'm guessing Leadership and Justice will both be in there.

Did they say he doesn't have an Ally?
I skimmed through the stream on a break at work today so I very well might have missed some things, but they said 14/15 cards were physical? Considering every hero deck so far has a wild resource on their Ally card, that seems like a safe bet for the one that isn't, though he might not have counted that considering you can play it as a strength resource.
Boggs did say there was no signature ally. He did mention however that there were Aggression aspect allies in Hulk's deck. On YouTube timestamp is around 20:20.

Oh, cool. It's really nice to know that they aren't putting structure completely before character design/flavor.

Michael Boggs had a pretty good poker face going on as Evan Johnson read off some of the guesses. I expect none of those are accurate if they were willing to read them though. They also mentioned it both ends the cycle and begins the next, sort of as a bridge.
So...who’s got Hulk and Strange in common with them? Well...Namor. And the Silver Surfer, both are from the original Defenders lineup.
Speaking of which, if it’s a Defenders themed story, I suppose we could be looking at: The Oracle of Ancient Knowledge (Features a team of villains, led by Thanos).
@HisEpicness I thought that having a hero with essentially a downside hero power looked pretty different, mechanically, especially for shaping your choices on what to filter with Banner, knowing you won’t be able to preserve anything. Also, the absolute dearth of thwarting (although, ironically, this makes Justice particularly good for Hulk, in terms of shoring up his weakness).

Right, but Boggs did specifically say that the hero decks would be full, ready-to-play hero decks.

But it’s suppose to have three hero's in it. So either its just those hero decks or it get a suit of card for each aspect and the just have lists for those three hero's to put their decks together and have whatever aspect left of for trying different builds. Kinda like the core set in reverse.
What's itching in the back of my head is that we'll get a 3rd hero that breaks the previous deck building formula in some way. Either they can include multiple aspects at the same time or maybe a character that includes an all basic deck.
Beat Cop is not unique. That's bananas.

Maybe that there was culled to two? Either way, he confirmed they were fully built, ready to play decks.
