I'm making some cards for the equipment.

They are very basic in design. I am about 40% done. Malechi made some great looking ones over a year ago (that long ago!?)

Not an artist, but wanted something easy to go through other than a book.

Anyone else interested?

I am thinking about making items with larger texts double sided as the Patmos amulet (above) to have larger font.

Thoughts?

also plan on adding number of dice as a reminder.

This is brilliant work and I would totally use these in my games. If you want any help proofing, let me know.

I like the dice idea as a reminder, though maybe this could be a separate summary card that includes all the dice values (ie, hand-to-hand weapon = 4 dice, etc). I would suggest maybe to bold the key item terms (weapon, mental, occult, etc) at the start of the descriptions. They look great!

Updated cards would be great, but please keep the cards simple. The tokens and the their text on white background for easy printing. The borders are ok, but black text on grey background is very hard to read and very ink heavy. You can and should use colored text as necessary, but keep these simple enough we can laser print in B&W if we want, or color without needing 3 ink cartridges...

So what do you think would be better: reference cards or cheat sheets ?

I think cards.

I'll update the cards for a white background but will use an icon for combat, stamina, and mental packs

One question/suggestion:

Could you use the font from the revised rulebook for the card's text (it's similar to Courier), instead of what I'm assuming is Times New Roman? It looks like you've got the right font style for the header.

It's not a big deal, but I thought it might look more "official".

Nope, "view image" isn´t highlighted. Can´t do that.....

Looks like it's browser bug. I have the same problem in IE 8 but not in Firefox 3.6.

Out of curiosity, does anyone have a file with the token icon graphics for custom reference cards? I'm wanting to make a set with one whole "pack" on a roughly playing card sized...er...card.

Its quite possible - I've already got them typed up for the Reich, just need to replace the blank circles with actual equipment pics.

Its not the full text, but its more than enough to let you know what they do.

I usually scan image and cut them out in Photoshop however I don not have the token images themselves as I don't use them in my reference cards.

For Equipment tokens it should be easy to either import/snapshot a PDF page and simply use a circle selection tool to get the intended image.
