It's still far off, but going on what's been said how would you handle such a game using what's currently available?
For me a Beacon intended to help maintain a hyperspace trade route through an otherwise dangerous area goes offline stranding travellers and in some cases those caught in transit emerge from hyperspace in the wrong location having to land to repair the ship before attempting to jump out of the system.
Only those caught at the beacon are aware it was attacked and they're desperately trying to escape the attackers intent on insuring no survivors to maintain their cover.
The adventure I'm suggesting has one ship landed on a world like Lothal as a ship escaping the Nihil raiders jump into the same system and crash-land on the same world ejecting escape pods.
So you have PCs on the ship being repaired and survivors of the other ship seeking help as they're being hunted by the Nihil.
It's only a matter of time before the Nihil detect the other ship and the other ship doesn't know what happened to the beacon only that pirates have shot down another freighter and they need to get out of here before the pirates find them.
Let alone what happens if they're stranded if the Nihil detect the other freighter and go after them do they know there's still survivors left from the ship they shot down?
What else could happen?
