How many do you need to buy to get a full playset of each card? Please don't say three.
Assault On Ulthuan question
Hmm, ok. For a full playset, 1 copy, plus another 2 copies. See, I didn't say three. Is that ok?
(sorry)
You can get away with 2 copies for every competitive deck though, I think. None of the current major archetypes use 3x of any of the singletons in the set, IIRC. Dwarves and Dark Elves want 2 copies since they really want 3x Slayers of Karak Kadrin and 3x Chillwind, respectively.
Even if I have almost anything in 3x, I purchased just 2 copies of AoU, then traded the cards I liked the most. It's a possible deal, if you have someone to split it with. ![]()
I bought two boxes and then split the third with another player. I play some destruction, but not enough to need three copies of the destruction cards in the set. Trading can work, but it's hard to convince other players around here that trading is worth anything in an LCG.
On the other hand, one box is all you need to have fun.

Depending on the type of fun you're looking for, even one box might not be needed
