Need advice on missing books for Force and Destiny

By Mesrob, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

Greetings folks. I need your advice/help. I have purchased every book for Edge of the Empire, Age of Rebellion, and half the books for Force and Destiny. Here is what I am missing:

Disciples of Harmony (Local game store has a copy)
Unlimited Power (Local game store has a copy)
Savage Spirits (Can buy online)
Chronicles of the Gatekeeper (Can't find anywhere!)
Ghosts of Dathomir (Available online)

Out of these five books, are any of them must haves? Is there anything like weapons, lightsaber upgrades, planets, etc., that are critical to the game? In regards to playing a Jedi, my son and I want to play more aggressive, combat and forceful jedi characters.

What about the adventures? I've heard very mixed things about Ghost of Dathomir.

I deeply appreciate your time. I don't know if I want to drop anymore money on the game at the moment, so I need your honest opinion.

Greg

I consider the career books essential for just the specialisations and species alone, nevermind all the gear, crafting, and storytelling material in them.

The adventures are IMO completely skippable.

the career books also have new force powers so to me they are must haves

I am in the other boat to you I have all the FaD books and 1/2 the books for EoE and 1/3 of the AoR books

I try to get them one a pay check but unknown if I will get them all (hope to run a KotR type game someday) been trying to get the ones with rules I need ie crafting 1st

Career books are better than advetures.... I have a preference for disciples of harmony (specs) and unlimited power (alchemical crafting) out of that list.

also get Nexus of Power

Thanks guys. I was able to get Savage Spirits, it is in stock on Walmart's website. After doing more research, I am going to skip the Force and Destiny adventures. Just not worth the money. Also realized I don't have Mask of the Pirate Queen, but again, going to skip that adventure also. I will swing by my LGS this weekend and purchase Unlimited Power and Disciples of Harmony. Once I get these two, I am all set with completing my collection. Have a great weekend everyone.

Wards Foresight is in Chronicles of the Gatekeeper if you care.
