Rebels, how do we deal with armour?

Usually the table is set up more to be played for battle lines/major offensive. So when long march comes up, terrain isn’t facing the ideal direction. Especially any long thin terrain, walls etc.

It shouldn't be set up that way.

There’s always going to be angles.

Aww yi-ah. You know me. Always workin’ an angle.

Personally I think there’s nothing wrong with a house rule for that.

So don't make a paintball arena

As others have said, stop squaring up the terrain solely for those deployments. Place terrain at angles, make it so flanking isn't easy.

Funny how Jyn is now the new airspeeder...
I never played at a tournament, but for me Jyn almost never died (twice in about 20 games). We do play with a lot of terrain that blocks LOS tho. I feel that if you play her safe and dont infiltrate near the enemy (the T1 suppression tactic doesn't work, believe me) and I often put her inside my deployment zone if it can keep her alive longer. She may not deal a lot of damage this way, but her command cards are great and she is awesome when it comes to objective-capture.

No, the airspeeder is still the airspeeder, just cheaper.

Jyn is still Jyn, just a little cheaper. You're still paying for all those keywords.

She will still expose herself when capturing objectives => white blank dice (unless your opponent only puts objectives where you want them to be)

@Tirion

you and I have gone back and forth on this. I still play Jyn, just not as much as I did when she first came out. I played pathfinders last week (they were once again lackluster for their cost and nearly panicked off the board after getting shot at twice ~~ you're going to tell me that I'm playing them wrong because they got shot at twice by the same unit in 2 turns)

ResoluteHusky's Jyn never dies and always rolls blocks. My Jyn always dies and always rolls blanks (there was that one time she didn't but then she did the next time she got shot)

I like his stories as much as mine - - but please tell me why she is awesome when it comes to objective-capture. What makes her better at capturing Objectives than Chewbacca or Luke or Leia or a rebel trooper unit or anything else that can capture objectives in the game?

How did they almost panic of the board?

Danger sense and courage 3 helps. However the difference is not huge and any other commander can do the same job as her. She is my favorite star wars character so there is heavy bias. My Jyn doesn't always roll blocks. In fact, she usually roll only 1 or 2 blocks per attacks, but since she has 6 hp she usually survive and I make sure to not let any other enemy units shoot at her for the rest of the game.

Well for recover specifically she can start on it. then obviously she needs to be your first activation and ideally the goal is get her behind line of sight blocking.

My Jyn doesn't always roll blocks either I'm talking about statistical averages. and in my opinion the only rebel Commander that comes close to doing what jyn does is Han.
