Corporate Sector Authority question.

By Harlock999, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I just asked this question in the End is Nigh thread, but figured it might get lost in the shuffle. So with the advent of Starships and Speeders, I'm curious...

If anyone here has ever used the Corporate Sector Authority in their Edge campaigns...? Well, I have to assume you included the Marauder-class corvette, but which fighters did you have the CSA employ?

Did you stat out your own IRD fighters or did you use TIE/ln fighters like those seen in the comic strip adaptation of Han Solo at Star's End (which actually flat-out stated the CSA was using Imperial fighters)? Or something else? Scyk interceptors maybe?

Exactly one week has gone by with 76 views (and counting) and 0 responses. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

From the other thread I received only two suggestions (from a single individual): (1) the Cloakshape fighter and (2) the Z-95 Headhunter. But seeing as the Z-95s were the "hero" craft taking on the CSA in Han Solo at Star's End, I have a hard time accepting that second suggestion.

Seriously, has no one else used starfighters in a Corporate Sector Authority adventure?

While I like the Cloakshape recommendation, I'm finding myself leaning toward loading up the Marauders with TIE/ln fighters. However, that just seems ... kinda lame. So any additional suggestions are still welcome.

(In fact, I'd really love to hear others' thoughts on the subject!)

I would just use IRD fighters and give them tweaked TIE stats.

Reading the original book, I get a very strong imprssion that they are supposed to be TIEs anyway, but that for some reason someone decided Daley couldn't use TIEs and he gave them another random three letter acronym instead.

The CSA mostly used surplus left over from the Clone Wars, from both the Republic and CIS fleets. Z-95 Headhunters , Mankvim Interceptors and a bunch of others. They also had their own in-house manufactured stuff like the IRD starfighter . Probably used a bunch of droid starfighters too given the amount of Separatist surplus they acquired after the war.

I've used them with Delta-6 Sprite and Delta-7 Aethersprite fighters, as they seem to be about the same age, and it's compact enough fighters that actually has a decent chance of fitting 12 of them internally.

The V-wing would probably also work quite well.

Everyone's gotta do what they think best. That said, I think I'd have a hard time using Jedi starfighters for the CSA myself...

I don't know a ton about the CSA, but Thrawn's Revenge (a mod for Empire at War. The guy who runs it is a big Legends geek) gives them T-Wings, IRDs, Skiprays, and some I'm not familiar with. Since they've got the T-Wing, I don't think it would be too much of a stretch to throw in some R-41s. T-Wings and Starchasers are both in SoT.
