Are the Nihil all aliens? Looks that way from the concept art.

This makes a lot more sense than the Imperial Inquisitors all being aliens, but it still feels a bit off...

Technically, all Star Wars since last December is trying to recover from The Great Disaster of the sequel trilogy. Maybe Project Luminous is a solid step.

Nah, it's allegedly about starships being kicked out of hyperspace for seemingly no reason - at least as one of the comics is concerned. Thanks for trying, though. 😃

This is very helpful context for some of the discussion going on in the Armor House Rule thread and I appreciate getting to know you better, Trampz GraphiXXX.

This all sounds really interesting, but the timeline is far, far too condensed. I really wish they'd pushed this back much further.

EDIT: BTW, Han , Chewie, and Lando were far from "hippies." They were the very definition of "exploitative capitalists." Thankfully, they evolved to simply "capitalists" after being moved by the plight of the Rebellion.

Some people have a hard time reading so let me make this clear: Forced diversity often leads to unintentional racism and classism. Social justice propaganda are lies regarding those who do not subscribe to the "correct" way of thinking; this kind of thing not only leads to straight-up racism and classism, but also alienates (in an ignorant fashion) half of an intended target audience.

I don't think it's that people don't understand the words that you are saying, it's that they disagree with them.

Nothing saps my excitement faster for new Star Wars stories than threads like these.

I’d rather enjoy (or not) what comes out on it’s own merit and not pre-worrying it’s going to be amazing (and set up too high of expectations) or that it’s going to be lousy (and prime myself to find fault).

I didn’t particularly care for the two run up to Rise of Skywalker works but I also wasn’t primed to hate Star Wars because of it.

And if Claudia Gray is involved I’m there. Best Star Wars author for years. Charles Soule also is an automatic purchase for me.

And surely a sign of the end times (don’t buy any green bananas): I agree with Tramp.

These threads also seem to serve as an excuse to argue about real world stuff that doesn’t typically make it into RPG threads for a good reason.

I don't believe anyone is unable to comprehend what you are writing, but I feel like they are struggling to understand why you would write such silliness. The word "diversity" shouldn't instantly invoke anxiety that social justice propaganda is going to be inserted into whatever.

Diversity is not the same thing as social justice propaganda. Diversity is about being progressive and inclusive and making sure there is representation that is not normally found in media. You however are trying to draw a direct line connecting the two while passing off your own propaganda, which by your own argument I guess would be worse than racism and classism because of you know, the lies.

All I did with my comment was hold a mirror up to your words, and judging by how fast you responded to me, seems like you didn't like what you saw in that reflection.

And don't worry about typos, I wouldn't hold that against you.

Anywho, let's not bog this thread down with concerns and counter arguments about certain target demos being under or over represented, let us discuss this new exciting direction the Star Wars literature is exploring!

Are you assuming that they will not be depicted as being competent and ruthless? If they do lack those traits, they will come off as really lame, but with them, they could be as scary as some of the nastiest criminal syndicates.
