[Ruling] Callow Delegate & Asahina Storyteller

By Bayushi Shunsuke, in L5R LCG: Rules Discussion

We have an old ruling about Asahina Storyteller and Callow Delegate that states Sincerity resolves at forced interrupt speed, so the Delegate can't honor itself as it leaves play to draw a card.

We also have a couple of ruling about pride that state 'Keywords are resolved simultaneously with their triggering condition' as part of the answer.

These two seem to contradict each other - is the Storyteller/Delegate ruling still accurate or do different keywords resolve at different speeds?

Keywords resolve simultaneously with their triggering condition—however, courtesy, sincerity, and ancestral must be an exception as they cannot be triggered unless the card is in play.

Therefore, these three keywords trigger at “forced interrupt” speed (ie: before the card leaves play) while other abilities (Pride, Composure, etc) all occur simultaneous with their triggering condition.
