Just noticed on a couple different threads that the original poster was getting unhelpful suggestions (a couple from myself unfortunately) because format they wanted the list to be in was not front and center. My suggestion is to always put a tag in the thread title. Some of my suggestions for tags would look like:

• [HS], [hyper], [Hyperspace] If you are working on a hyperspace format list
• [XTD], [ext], [Extended] If you are working on an extended format
• [Custom] if you have a non-standard format with special restrictions
• [Aces High], [AH] for suggestions for your Aces High single ship
• [1.0], [1e] if you're still playing first edition (pretty rare I know)

This is particularly affecting Hyperspace list threads where people just get hooked by the thread title, skim the original list posted, then suggest changing to a bunch of upgrades/pilots that are not HS legal

I very much support this. Also, if you're coming up with creative squad names, consider throwing in your faction's tag as well. Some people are likely good at listbuilding only in some of the factions* and making it unclear if the topic regards one of those doesn't help getting their attention.

I propose XTD for Extended, HS for Hyperspace.

Not just you. I like seeing faction information as well as format information in the titles. It helps with both threads I'm interested in and threads I'm not interested in. It is wise to make descriptive thread titles.
