Clone Wars Season 7 Spoiler Thread

I doubt it. We know from the Canon Vader comics that it was a while before the Clones become Stormtroopers.
Let's say, for the sake of argument, that it's 2 years. By this time, he's obviously already been told that Ahsoka died, and he's had plenty of time to go to the location. Why now? Why not earlier? What would have prompted him to go? Sure it could be, but I doubt it. I think it was closer to the events of Rebels.

Is it possible that due to the ship being torn out of hyperspace by Maul, that is took some time to find the crash site?

Possibly, but I doubt it. I imagine they would've been able to track it. Plus, in a comparable scenario (Maridun) they were able to figure out where it went within days.

Dont know about that, but I do know she has every talent from the GM's Girlfriend specialization's tree.

Ah... this joke would have worked if it didn’t put the cart in front of the horse. You see, RPG’s emulate the fiction we love and of course chance doesn’t inform the fiction we love in the same way it does the games we play to feel close to it.

the whole arc was fantastic, but that dialogue-less ending was some next level ****

they're finally together on the Y-Wing and they can't even feel elated at their survival because of how apocalyptic and heart-wrenching the situation is

and then the last few minutes are just shot after shot that just tears your heart out

all that beautiful and layered imagery

a slightly blurry Rex in the foreground while Ahsoka in a cloak is staring at the graves of the clones they buried

Vader's helmet in the foreground taking up like a quarter of the screen and high up in the sky that tiny owl that has followed Ahsoka ever since she was Jesus'd by Anakin and the Daughter

Agree with everything you’ve typed here.

... but I don’t get the bird reference. Was this something from Rebels (which I thankfully stopped watching after Season One)? Or should I feel ashamed for having missed this little creature’s presence in earlier CW episodes?

It's too bad you quit after season 1. It got much better after that (season 1 was pretty awful).

Yes, it was something from Rebels. Strongly strongly recommend you make it through season 2 (which was much better, but not great. Rex and Ahsoka far outshone the actual main characters) to get to the good stuff in 3-4. Once the Mandalorians get introduced, that opens up Sabine's character to expansion, and she became one of my favorite characters once she got her time to shine.

That droid at the end under the Y-wing, could it be Choppers origin?

No, Chopper was from a Y-Wing that crashed on Ryloth.

The bird is actually part of Clone Wars originally. from the Mortis arc.

I forgot about that! That's where it came from originally. The Daughter was associated with the Convor, and when the Daughter traded her life for Ahsoka's, it sorta became Ahsoka's.

Maul is quite a scary dude. This sort of puts the stuff late game Force Users gets up to into perspective. I do really just love scenes of force users going ham with nothing but their force powers and decimating their opposition as well as their surroundings.

Yeah, I know their not mutually exclusive. Dave Filloni played CH1-01P and CH33P, and Chopper is pieced together at least two different kinds of droids. Who’s to say the Droid put together from the parts of this wreckage only had a limited number of hyperspace coordinates in its memory, and Mandalore is near Ryloth.

I liked R7, CH33P and "GG"? too. Kinda sad to see 'em blasted.

I thought they'd "free" more clones from the inhibitor chips or whatever... How did Rex' friends end up getting theirs out? I watched Rebels before I tried Clone Wars and in Rebels there were a few other "ex-clones".

Yeah, that whole end scene was beautiful and moving. I can't wait to hear what the new cartoon will be! I personally hope they come back to Ezra's story way out in the Unknown Regions or something... With Thrawn as well...

I think it was R7.

It really did hurt me to see those droids die. I really liked R7 and seeing GG put up his "hands" surrendering then get blasted.....that really hurt.

Once again droids save the day. I immediately adopted those little things and was appropriately devastated when they perished. 🥺

My headcanon is that they retrieved R7's chassis and the memory cores of all three and cobbled together a little split personality droid.

Oooof...you missed out on the best story arc in the SW universe. I mean, TCW is great, and much better animation, but is far more disjointed and there's still too much to tell.

It shows up, but it wasn't an obvious tie. It felt more like "we need an animal in this shot, and we already have this convor model, so lets go with that." Only later was it revealed it was an avatar.

On every galaxy map I've seen, Mandalore and Ryloth are 3/4 of the galaxy apart from each other.

Just saying.

Just two major hyper lanes away from each other.

Still quite a ways, and not everything has to be connected.

It’s Star Wars and Disney it’s all connected. What are the odds of Vader’s kid growing up on Tatooine? Ezra and Luke have the same birthday ... Empire day.

They don't, unless I'm forgetting a scene of Padmé giving birth to Leia & Luke on the Senate floor, where she was present as Palpatine announced the Empire.

See the video at https://www.starwars.com/video/rebels-recon-inside-the-siege-of-lothal

relevant part starts at about 4:30.

Ok how about C3-PO Being built by Anakin, given to Shmi, given to Padme, and ending up as Leias. R2 similar story.

Kid builds. Gives to mother when he can't use it anymore. Reenters his possession when mother dies. Gives to wife. Then when wife dies, she gives to children. That isn't convoluted at all. It has multiple steps, but each one is perfectly reasonable and very understandable.
Same with how Luke came to be raised on Tatooine.

He didn’t give it to his kid he didn’t even know Luke exited until after he shot at him over the Death Star. He didn’t know that Leia was his till his death bead. Padme didn’t give them away either she died, right after she named her kids.

He also wasn't the one in possession of C-3PO. Padme was, and it was indirectly bequeathed to Leia since Bail Organa, who adopted Leia, took possession of it when Padme died.

As for C-3PO and R2-D2 making it into Luke's hands from Leia's, that can be explained as "destiny" or "the will of the force."
