Not sure where to put this so off topic it is. Since the Starhawk is technically a New Republic ship do any of you guys think we might be getting any more New Republic ships for the rebel fleets? I play Imperials but I would honestly love to see a Nebula Class Star Destroyer on the table.
New Republic ships in Armada?
Currently, the New Republic fleet is a mix of Rebel starships like the MC80 and CR90, captured Imperial craft like the Immobilizer, future Resistance craft like the MC85 and Nebulon-C, and weird things like the Carrack and Acclamator.
So will we get New Republic ships? Yes, and we already have, just not as part of the New Republic faction. They have been and probably will be Rebel, Imperial, Resistance, and maybe Republic.
Because the the New Republic fleet is just a mix of those.
As cool as it is, I wouldn't expect to see the Nebula-class. We had a distinct EAW theme for wave 1, the MC30 snuck in for wave 2, and not a single non-canon ship since. Especially one like the Nebula, which is from a different timeline than Disney's sequel trilogy.
@The Jabbawookie I know the Nebula is unlikely, that one was more of a pipe dream

Wave 2 also had a bunch of non-canon fighters in the 'Rogues and Villains' pack at time of release. And I don't think the IG-2000, Jumpmaster, Scurrg, *or* HWK-290 have since appeared in canon...
Oh, then wave 5 had the E-Wing, TIE Phantom, Decimator, and TIE Defender. (Obviously the TIE Defender and E-Wing entering canon via 'Rebels' and a comic book, respectively, but neither was at the time)
Generally, though, I'd say these all fall into the 'exception that proves the rule' more than anything, though. Armada's lesser popularity vs X-Wing basically guarantees we'll only see canonical ships, and USUALLY only those fairly iconic (honestly, the Starhawk and Onager in this last wave were a bit of a surprise).

I agree, I have a pretty good knowledge of Star Wars capital ships and I had never heard of the Onager

I think (second hand9 that they are mentioned in "the rebel files".
