One Last Book

By slope123, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

So with all the bad news regarding the SWRPG lines I wanted to try and get some stuff before the prices jump through the roof. My problem is that I only have the cash right now for one more book (poor college student :( ).

Since I only have enough for one right now my question is which book is the best to get assuming I only have enough for one more.

Currently my collection consists of the Force and Destiny Core Book, Rise of the Separatists, Collapse of the Republic, Disciples of Harmony, and Endless Vigil.

Currently the ones I am looking at are Dawn of Rebellion and Unlimited power (along with all the other line nonspecific books). For those who have all the other books what are your suggestions?

From a strictly speculative market viewpoint, I can see the Bounty Hunter book going through the roof. If you want a return on your money, that's the horse* you should back.

*Take my bookmaking with a HUUUUUGE grain of salt.

From a utility standpoint, I probably grab one of the region books. I like the Corellia book myself, but they're all strong.

Dawn of Rebellion is amazing - it's been my goto book for much of my current campaign.

Strongholds of Resistance is also really good.

And Nexus of Power (Jedi are my favorite so I loved this one, so YMMV).

They are great for general perusing and getting into the setting but also for running campaigns.

Hard question. To complement your library, maybe a FaD Career book.

Dawn of Rebellion was nice, but honestly I got the most out of No Disintegrations. The "investigation" chapters are pure gold, suitable for any campaign, not just for bounty hunters. Goes really well with Endless Vigil, which you already have.

The Lords of Nal Hutta is great if you want to use the "hutt crimelord" background

The adversary decks. Any that you can find. I've gotten more use out of them than any single book.

I would agree with their value 100%, I ordered the only one i was missing when I pre-ordered S&S (not knowing the line was likely closing-down at the time) and have found them so useful for ensuring games are fluid on the fly. Not sure I have gotten more than any book but there are a few books I've mined to death, so YMMV.
