Still buying 1.0 ships for 2 reasons they are 50% off and just playing with my kids it doesn't matter if we still use 1.0.
So I have two Falcons but they are both the orginal. Not sure I would ever need 3 Falcons but I could always paint one so it's different and for completeness it might be nice to get.

There's some pilots in that box who aren't in the original Falcon box, as well as some new T-70 pilots. You can fly Rey in the Falcon with Finn as the gunner, which is pretty cool. Granted, you can always just print off the pilot and upgrade cards, or play without them, but the folks in the box are worthwhile. If you're still playing 1e, 50% off is a pretty solid deal.

Regardless: seems like an easy buy if you’re still playing 1.0. There’s a treasure trove of upgrades in there, including (if I remember correctly) several copies of Integrated Astromech, which will help your poor 1.0 T-65s a bit.
Another angle to consider is that a Resistance Falcon and a T-70 helps make Resistance fairly easy to get into if you ever decide to dip a toe into 2.0. You can field a super mean Rey + friends with just a Resistance conversion kit (which is usually cheap) plus Korr Sella from the Resistance Transport (which you could either buy as the full kit or just try to bum Korr off someone with multiple Transports).
I’d do it just for Poe’s X~wing.
personally I always thought new movies-only battles were the most fun and balanced first edition games
still applies to second edition in my opinion actually... but that's besides the point
HOTR is one of my favorite expansions of all time and very fun, the fact you have two falcons makes that a little less, but the new pilots and upgrades make it still worth it IMO
I think I will order the ship.
