Request: number tokens for Max. Sanity/Stamina

Numbered 1-9, with several of each to be able to put over your investigator's Sanity/Stamina numbers on their sheet when they gain/lose Maximum Sanity or Stamina.

In the meantime, I'm sure there are some numbered chips or markers that would work, but it would be nice to have something custom-made for the game.

Good idea. I wish shuch tokens have been included in the base game.

Yeah, it'd probably be easy enough to print them on stickers and put them on poker chips or something like that, but I would like it if FFG provided those in an upcoming expansion (or in some kind of "deluxe edition").

I could always use some numbered tokens or chips, but those tend to be multicolored and plastic and would look pretty bad with everything else. Ah, you know what might work okay are the number circles from Settlers of Catan... although there are no 7's. Well, I hope that FFG will provide some tokens but in the meantime I'll poke around in some dollar stores and see if I can find something that'll work for that.

The method of just keeping current token on your investigator sheet and lost tokens off the sheet works just fine. If the max fluctuates, add or subtract from your own little token pool. If there is one thing this game doesn't need more of, it's tokens.

Can't you just give players their max sanity/stamina in tokens, and if they lose their max, they return the tokens to the main pool? If you just lose sanity or stamina you move the tokens from your current pool to your discarded pool. That way you always have the right number of tokens, and it's easy to keep track of your max because you have as many tokens as your maximum.

Or what Brine said. ;-)

That wouldn't really be any more convenient than our current method. At the start of the game, we deal everyone their max number of tokens needed for their sheet, and then as they are damaged, they keep them in their own little side pile. That way, no one needs to reach across the table or fumble with the token bag.

I do this. And specifically, with Lily Chen, I place tokens for the maximums she could give herself onto the spaces on her San/Sta slider, moving them off as the slider passes onto them.

Of course, Lily can't gain more than one point total, so while the first such token is placed on the sheet, the second is placed off the sheet.

Personally I try to minimize the tokens in this game, as it already has a lot. I use 8 sided dice for sanity and stamina, but I've had no trouble keeping track of maximums for them.
