I'm planning to run some demo games using just the stuff from the Clone Wars box. What's the best weapon option to put on the BARC Speeder knowing that it will face Destroyers and B-1s?
BARC Sidecar Options

Most people use it with nothing in my experience. They spend the points on their Corps and Commanders and only take BARCs because you have to just to fill out points. If you're just doing demo games, why are you worried about "best" anyway? Just put a random assortment of upgrades out there to "demo" the game.
Right, but I want it to feel useful too.
I find they don't have enough firepower to be worth using unless you put one of the gunners on them. I generally use the RPS-6 gunner because it has good dice, can fire every turn, and can fire in any direction. Strictly speaking the ion gunner would be very good against droids but if you are running demo games the exhaustion and ion mechanics probably aren't something to introduce to new players right away. The twin laser gunner is pretty good too, cheaper but more restrictive than the RPS-6.
Don't forget to include some Z6 on your corps units so the players can fire-support with the BARCs for some surge to hit goodness.
Edited by QarkI prefer the laser gunner, ain't too expensive, and have the same range band like the standard laser cannons.
Depends on the level of demo you want to run. If you are just going for a 2-turn demo so people can see how movement and shooting works it doesn't really matter what upgrades you use, just make it look cool.
If you are wanting to run full-on 5-6 turn learning games then I would recommend using the Ion Gunner since it introduces the Ion mechanic as well as the exhaust/recover mechanics.
Sounds good. It will be aseries of games, so I think I'll start witht he Twin Laser Gunner and add in Ion later.
The missile is good, because you can move out from cover, get a shot off, and then run away.
As I understand this game it isnt wysiwyg. Does it really matter how you build it or what weapons you choose? I am planing to build mine with a sidecar and posible the rocket launcher (coolness factor), but I am most likely going to run it with the twin lasers.
