350pt games

By Karnage1992, in Army Building

Recently got into Legion and the nearest store to me that is running regular events has been running 350pt events. You can either take a force from the Core Sets or build up to 350.
Went the 2nd option at the last one and managed to come 2nd with the Imps. Won a Dewback rider and am pretty determined to run it at the next one. Now it may not be the most competitive build but I am hoping that the following list will at least give me a shot.

General Veers (80 + 0 = 80)

Stormtroopers (44 + 16 = 60)
--Stormtrooper (11), Concussion Grenades (5)

Stormtroopers (44 + 16 = 60)
--Stormtrooper (11), Concussion Grenades (5)

Stormtroopers (44 + 16 = 60)
--Stormtrooper (11), Concussion Grenades (5)

Dewback Rider (90 + 0 = 90)

Commands:
Ambush (1), Maximum Firepower (1), Push (2), Assault (3), Imperial Discipline (3), Standing Orders (4)

Feedback appreciated :D

What force organization restrictions are in place? I feel like an AT-ST would be unstoppable at 350 points.

1 Commander

2-4 Corps

0-1 Operative

0-1 Specialist

0-1 Support

0 Heavy

IItcertainly makes for some difficult list building.

Seems like a good list but with only 350 points I'd think that Vader would rock. Simple list would just be Vader decked out with force upgrades and then 3 storm trooper units comes out to be 347 points

In my experience so far while firce users are powerful at 350 they get focused down and then thats half your list gone.

Beat a clone player by doing that and won on points destroyed because we tied on objectives. Will look at Vader though :)

At 350 points your opponent doesn't have enough firepower to focus fire on them properly. Even at the official 500 & 800 point game sizes force users are some of the hardest units to kill, with less guns on the table they can be close to unstoppable. Keep them in cover on the approach. Make sure to take dodge actions (or even better use force reflexes) so that you can keep up the surge -> block in deflect. Once they are in melee combat they can't be shot. If your opponent does not have anything immune to pierce a Jedi can take a 350 point army down by themselves.

Don't you have to take a second 2 pip card?

Yeah, but the other two 2-pip options are entirely worthless to his list and might as well be blank cards (they order unit types and ranks his army doesn't have), so that's why he probably didn't bother including them.

This is true, in this list the only.other 2 pip card gives orders to vehicles so didnt post it.

Gave the list a try against Rex and 4 units of clones (2 units had Z-6 troopers). Unfortunately the dice hated me that match and we ended up with the split your forces into opposite deployment card. 😂
