I love the classic TIE Bomber, don't get me wrong,
but anyone try this little jewel yet? Seems it might be the best Imperial Bomber for a 200 pt squad, yes?

Nah I doubt it. You pay a lot more and it dies a lot faster.

Vagabond is OK. Being able to drop a device in the system phase and after aileron is a nice trick. I wouldn’t throw a lot on it, though. Maybe proxy mines or bombs.

What about from a Hyperspace perspective? The Striker is the only Imperial ship that can take Devices, and Vagabond looks to be able to get bombs into more interesting situations than their generic siblings can.
You can also totally Brockets TIE Bombers. It's very valid.

More low-init ships means he has more chances to drop a bomb with perfect knowledge, but he also loses access to proximity mines and is more likely to get shot off the board by all those extra ships. Also, his ability isn't that great - it doesn't have nearly as wide a threat area as a tie bomber does
Also, I'm disappointed that you forgot about the decimator, which should always be bringing a bomb when it arrives on the table.

I'm disappointed that I forgot about the Decimator too! 😦 Off to the Spice Mines of Kessel for me.
I've been looking at TIE Bombers recently as escorts for action-light Aces that can take ruthless. Due to their high health-for-points ratio, they are probably one of the best enablers for that talent
Ruthless Aces
(51) "Echo" [TIE/ph Phantom]
(3) Targeting Computer
(2) Fire-Control System
(1) Ruthless
Points: 57
(42) "Duchess" [TIE/sk Striker]
(1) Ruthless
Points: 43
(27) Scimitar Squadron Pilot [TIE/sa Bomber]
(6) Proximity Mines
Points: 33

(6) Proximity Mines

(6) Proximity Mines
Points: 33
Total points: 199
This first list puts mines on the 3 bombers so that they can block, fuel the ruthless Aces and then drop mines precisely due to their ship ability so that the enemy ships take extra unavoidable damage on the drive-by.
Ruthless Midrange
(51) "Echo" [TIE/ph Phantom]
(1) Ruthless
Points: 52
(42) "Duchess" [TIE/sk Striker]

(27) Scimitar Squadron Pilot [TIE/sa Bomber]
(8) Barrage Rockets
Points: 35
(27) Scimitar Squadron Pilot [TIE/sa Bomber]
(8) Barrage Rockets

This list here is much simpler, as the bombers have a "joustier" loadout, meaning that they take missile shots in the first engagement, and then on the bump fiesta that follows the ruthless flankers can clean up. Unfortunately, in this list the FCS + TC combo needs to be dropped from Echo to make space for the rockets
