Speaking of points, can anyone make out the cost of the BX droids? Looks like maybe 22 for the strike team, and maybe 68 for the full unit? Though that would make the full unit cheaper than ARCs but the Strike Team more expensive than ARCs, which doesn't make a lot of sense.

Might be a slight incentive to run a squad of BXs because for the strike team with snipers, they need an order to get an aim token for Lethal 1 because their AI is Dodge or Move then 2nd action is just shoot. While they may have the best dice pool of snipers, they're the worst at getting the pierce/crit combo. Those shields and the profile of how those BXs work seem to lean more in on forward position disruption and/or objective takeover with those shields.

I'm honestly baffled by how most players uderappreciate Danger Sense. Sure, it's not like surging red dice with imprevious, and it will fail from time to time, as those pesky whities do. However I cannot count how many times these extra dice had saved my day on both Jyn and Pathfinders.

I don't trust Danger Sense. In order to maximize its full potential, a unit has to open itself up to the prospect of losing actions.

Is Cad a bit overcosted? Yeah, we'll see when we'll know all his command cards. For now, his 3pip is literally awesome and is one of the best scenario oriented cards.

They showed off his 2pip. Is that the card to which you refer?

Really looking forward to finding out what Fives and Echo do.

And I really want to get another Sabine and put her on one of the flight stands.

Huh didn't think to look since I didn't recall a weapon with immune deflect. Which makes the GAR arguably the best equipped faction to get around deflect now...

Droidekas weapons are Immune: Deflect, IIRC

Jyn's courage 3. I hardly ever lose an action on her. With 3-4 supression on her and in heavy cover, most enemies just don't bother to shoot at her any further 😛

And yes, I was mistaken, I meant Cad's 2pip ;) obviously, Danger Sense seems worse on him than Pathfinders/Jyn due to factors like lower courage, lower range, no dauntless etc. But this card is close to making up for that ;)

His 3-pip we can kinda see, it seems like it lets you place some special cool bane tokens on the map, and on turn 1 he pops out of one of them. And maybe the rest explode, I dunno, it also has a weapon on it.

Deflect just prevents wounds from defensive surges when a target uses the Deflect ability, not the use of the Deflect ability.

At least that's what the rules say right now.

Padme's 1-Pip... Hello There, Again!

Padme issues an order to Obi-wan instead, and moves 2 Suppression off troops within range 1-2, and gains 2 dodge tokens, i.e., Obi-wan can use 2 Dodge tokens lololololol

She seems like an auto-include for me in GAR. She is bonkers good

Yes, but those reflected wounds are a bit of a bigger deal to me than the Surge -> Block honestly since it's straight wounds bypassing saves. So they only get a partial benefit from the special rule, and now (generally) the only Dodge token is spent.

I'm surprised Cad Bane doesn't have Gunslinger

His pistol dice pool has 4 dice, so I guess he always shoots them together.

This is the best day ever! So many new stuff! Cad Bane LoS-block hopping around seems to me like Crisis Suits in 40k 7e. Awesome!

And, finally, Red defense droids (I guess Magnaguards will also have that)! And full of options! Those shields! Cheap blades for melee! The minis - gorgeous!

There's even a theme song for this evening:

A good natured “told you so” to Jango fans. 😜

Guys, Cad Bane is overcosted to fit flavor. He always doubles/triples his rates when he takes a job from Count Dooku or Darth Sidious in the Clone Wars show. 😁

So how will cover be determined with Arcs with Jump pacts? Wouldn’t it be a disadvantage to build them like that?

Alex Davie said toward the beginning of the live stream to expect to see something within the next 3 (I think weeks) about determining cover and troopers, he was talking about competitive play, jump troopers, and how OG Luke's saber was so tall and mentioned something about a models volume. I am expecting it to be changing models to have a set space they take up.

Getting ready to execute Order 66

So... what are they up to now? 2 corps, 2 commanders, 1 support, 1 heavy, 1 operative, and 1 special forces?

I'll admit I was hoping for Anakin or Qui-Gonn operative, but Padme is what I needed, what I wanted. Now I see the TRUE magic of Christmas!

And now I have to eat my hat since the CIS' first operative is not Darth Maul.

CIS yes, GAR has the extra Operative with R2.
You could also argue the Strike Teams are a different SF, but I'd call it a .5 at best.

Yeah, which is the point where list building starts getting interesting for me.

Well with the leaks being true CIS/GAR will be getting another vehicle support (STAP & AT-RT) and Rebels/Empire will be getting the first mostly unique special forces in Q2.

As for future products that will get released they are just going to repeat the order https://starwarslegion.fandom.com/wiki/Products . Can't wait to run magagurads and my guess is Ani/Ventress for commanders.

Yup, now the fun begins.

SO MAJOR THING which I didn't see anybody point out, I was watching the stream VOD and Alex says that Fives and Echo CAN ALSO be added to Corps units, they aren't restricted to just ARC Trooper adds. Should be about 40 mins in.

Seems like the prequel factions are at the minimum variety of models now. I am glad for them.

It's not enough! 🤣

Did anyone else notice that the Arc Trooper box marks the first time that either one of the weapon upgrades share a model, or that you can't field both a Strike Team and full squad from one box?

There are only seven models: four for the squad, one for the "assistant," which leaves only 2 for 3 heavy weapons... I think the sniper model does double duty?

Yeah that's a big highlight, they open up the options a lot more, Phase 1s will have 6 Heavy weapon options! I think it's neat the way Fives and Echo make the ARCs feel different from the other SF and the BX getting the Armaments instead really mixes these units up while still being a mirror to the other strike team units.

You can run Fives or Echo as just other ARCs, if you have the Fives model as a generic you can still do the 4 and then run a strike team with the DC-15x...technically Echo can act as another DC-15x upgrade if your opponent doesn't mind letting you proxy the card.
