So if I have to guess you trigger the area attack the Car Bane enters the scene. So you either divulge it and basically Infiltrate him but at the same time threaten the other player with when he will pop out and possibly damage them via the area attack or you use it to basically get a small move or possible attack if you don't divulge it.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, thanks! So I wonder if it lets him move around between the tokens since since it says do not deploy Bane? Would explain why they have so many and why his defense is so crap. He could jump between areas

Or they are just bomb tokens......that can't be placed in range of enemies.............. hmmmm.

Possibly mines or remote charges that Detonate when you do deploy?

Yeah I think you place them and Cad can pop out of one if not deployed, and the others probably just explode like typical tokens, since they do have an area attack on them. Or maybe it's an "explosive entry" where they detonate then Cad appears. We shall see as previews come down the pipe.

Hmmmmmmm, could be?

Would three mines with blast, surrpressive, and 2r/1b damage all stacked on an objective be good.... too good?

Throw on top of the fact that they usually put the minimum amount of tokens in the pack so there should be some way to get 6 on a table?

then look at the CIS and every unit they released is fundamentally different. B1s are dirt cheap. B2s are multi-wound / close range at a higher price. Commando Droids are a higher priced unit that will probably have high damage potential with loads of options

Separatist Conspiracy?

Well, we don't know what his 2 pip is yet, do we? It may also be a "Detonate one a turn" or some other balancing limitation.

No, we do actually, his 2-pip is the suppression/immobilize one they showed on stream. It's his 1-pip "I'm Your Worst Nightmare" we don't have any details on.

Ah okay. I knew it was one of his cards we had no clue about. It could also be that they needed two different sides for some reason, so needed to put twice as many tokens in to deal with the mirror match.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but I realized today that the BX saboteur weapon will be a poison mine. The box comes with 6 poison tokens and all the weapons have been spoiled unless they give them a grenade option that let's them throw poison grenades. The grenade option does seem unlikely though.

Oh yeah, now that you mention it, it says "Dioxis Mine Saboteur" on that card. Should have guessed that, that's originally a separatist war crime. Probably have an effect similar to the Bossk one then.

Didn't you mean "totally legitimate tool of combat?" 😉

Republic propaganda at its finest...

Given the images shows that they come with droid poppers as a grenade (????) Probably.

There is only the EMP grenade shown in the spread, there are what we can assume are mine tokens shown, and there is a "Dioxis Mine Saboteur" card visible so...definitely mines.

Yeah, the amp grenade is called a droid poppers. The question marks become why are droids carrying them? (Besides card factions paywalls)

Because they give your overall attack Ion 1, so you could use a commando droid team to parkour their way across the battlefield and get into range to use them against vehicles.

I'm not sure what you mean by card factions paywalls. If they didn't come with them the only way to get them would be in the ARC Troopers box.

Which is what was meant by that. X-Wing 1st edition had some cards that were only in a specific upgrade, so you had to buy the ship for a faction you didn't play, for a copy of the upgrade you wanted. It is a "paywall" because you have to pay to get whatever is on the other side of the wall.

Like other stuff I'm sure they will be distributed either in card packs or in upcoming releases for other factions (Clan Wren and Inferno Squad maybe?), the BX-droids get them because that's the new grenade dejour and also because A( This is the first CIS unit to get grenades and B( CIS has absolutely no Ion at this point.

Yyyyyes, but it's not a faction-specific paywall. Both CW factions have access to it without buying cross-faction, and I expect it will show up in Inferno Squadron and Clan Wren as well. It's only a paywall in the sense that it's a product that costs money, like literally every product that exists for this game.

Legion has been good about releasing all the card with all the factions so far. However that is most certainly not the case for all their games. I can't speak for X-Wing as I don't play, but Armada is bad about it and requires you to buy ships from the faction you aren't playing as to get access to certain cards.

That isn't to say Legion doesn't falter with this. Strict Orders is still only available through Krennic or the more recent card pack. And while I appreciate that they plan on doing card packs, I don't like paying for a single card from a pack that is only slightly less expensive than the commander it comes with.

Edit; Oh and by the way, unless Inferno Squad and Clan Wren get released at the same time as the ARCs and BX Droids (I doubt they will given how the releases have been going) it will be a faction specific paywall for early access to EMP grenades.

Jyn Erso comes with Strict Orders as well.

If you want a better example then take Offensive Push. Droids can only get a single copy of it through Cad Bane if the spreads are accurate. Since I can't field more than one of him, buying multiple just so I can use it on more than one unit would be a horrible waste of money.

I suspect we will see Clan Wren and Inferno squad a month later, though we should know for certain in a month when we get their official announcement.

Oh I'm sure we'll see an article for them by the end of March, but with how things have been going lately it'll probably be a larger gap than a month between all the SF units.
